Chapter 2158

Chapter 2158

After saying that, Grace went back to the private room, grabbed her handbag, and left.

Jaylene held her face as her eyes turned red.

Keegan handed a tissue to her and whispered, "Are you okay?”

She felt a lump in her throat, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Darcie, who stood next to them, lost control of her emotions and pushed Keegan away.

Keegan lost his balance, stumbled, and hit himself against the wall. Then, his face turned pale as he winced in pain.Jaylene became anxious. "Mom! What are you doing?"

Aldor, who had just "coincidentally" settled the bill, saw what happened and rushed over to help Keegan. ' Mrs. Saun, what is thisall about?" he spoke in a slightly angry tone.

Jaylene looked distressed and wanted to check on Keegan. However, before she could get any closer, Darcie slapped her in thesame spot where Jessie had just hit her. "If you dare to walk over there, I'll disown you and never want to see your face everagain!"

Darcie slapped her hard. She had slapped Jaylene before for not doing well in her academics or for saying the wrong things inpublic, but never as harshly as now.

As the slap landed, Jaylene's ears buzzed. She looked at Darcie in disbelief as more tears welled up in her eyes.

Keegan seemed like he could not bear seeing Jaylene being slapped and softly explained while Aldor held him up, "Darcie,Jaylene is an adult now and has the right to be with whoever she wants. You shouldn't force her like this."

Darcie refuted with a cold face, "Mr. Kane, how | educate my daughter is none of your concern. Please stay away from mydaughter from now on! Stop bothering her with everything. If you don’t like her, don’t give her hope!”

Aldor frowned. "Mrs. Saun, please do not speak recklessly and twist the facts. Ms. Saun called Mr. Kane and offered to bringsome tea over. Mr. Kane was drunk and unaware-"

Keegan stopped Aldor from speaking any further, stood upright, and said," I'm sorry, Darcie. | didn't mean to cause you anytrouble. I'll keep my distance from Jaylene from now on."

Upon hearing that, Jaylene immediately forgot about the pain on her face and anxiously said, "Mom! Keegan didn't bother me atall. It was me-" "Shut up!" Darcie felt like her head was pounding. "Get into the car right now! If you say another word, I'll kick youout of Hustuabourg!"

Jaylene fell silent and looked at Keegan with tearful eyes. He seemed like he wanted to say something but ultimately kept quiet.Jaylene's heart sank. When she glanced back at Darcie, her eyes carried a hint of resentment.

Darcie did not bother looking at her and directly dragged her into the elevator. Before leaving, she gazed at Keegan with anextremely gloomy expression that would send shivers down one's spine.

However, Keegan was rubbing his temples with his head lowered, not meeting her gaze.

When Darcie and Jaylene finally left, Aldor asked, "Mr. Kane, are you still feeling unwell?" "Yeah," Keegan responded.

Aldor said, "Then let me carry you downstairs."novelbin

Keegan's eyelid twitched. He said with a stern expression, "Get lost."

Aldor chuckled. Suddenly, he remembered the medicine Jaylene had fed to Keegan just now. His expression immediatelydarkened as he said, "Mr. Kane, the med-"

Keegan replied in a deep voice, "Let's go downstairs. Take me to the hospital.”

After Stella had the meal with Wenham, she was still waiting for Keegan's call.
