Chapter 2118

+ I'm warning you, behave yourself when you're in the car. | don't know the new driver very well yet. Although he seems like anhonest man, | can't be sure if he'll gossip about US to others. So, just act like we're in public, understand?" Stella said to Keeganeven before the car arrived.

She had no choice but to do that. Ever since she exposed Keegan for regaining his memory, he had become worse at disguisinghimself.

For example, when they saw someone they knew while eating, and she was maintaining the act of their strained relationship,Keegan would have already wiped her utensils clean.

When she glared at him with a stern look to remind him, he would say, ’ We've got to pay attention to hygiene. Don't get sick andpass it on to me. It's annoying."novelbin

Then, Stella utilized her acting skills and had a "fight" with him. Then, they would finish their meal with a "cold face."

After the same thing happened a few times, Stella dared not to go out with Keegan anymore. She feared that his plan of fakinghis memory loss would be exposed sooner or later because of how lovesick he was.

Keegan said seriously, "Even if you don't believe in my acting skills, how can you lose faith in your teaching abilities?"

Stella snorted. "Don't try to flatter me. The answer is no. If you ever do something that could expose yourself, we'll sleep inseparate rooms!"

Her threat worked as Keegan reluctantly said, "Fine."Shortly after, Larry arrived with the car. He got out and greeted Stella.

However, he did not show any sign of surprise upon seeing the two of them together. Instead, he opened the rear door so both ofthem could get in without asking any questions.

Stella was not planning on introducing Keegan. When she got into the car, she said, "He needs a ride. Just drop him off at theVinci Rivera building.”

Keegan heeded what Stella had said to him earlier and remained very aloof throughout the journey. Both of them turned theirfaces away from each other and played with their phones.

Keegan texted Stella: [Isn't this driver a little too old?]

Stella replied: [He's forty-five. | know he might not be very young, but | couldn't find someone suitable in such a short time. I'mplanning to transfer him to another position later when | find someone more suitable.]

Keegan lifted his gaze and glanced at Larry's gray hair: [Forty-five? Have you done a background check on him?]

Stella texted back: [Yeah. He used to work for a taxi company. He has a wife and a son. Also, his wife seems to have someintellectual disabilities and hasn't worked for many years. Their son is deaf and mute and has been attending a special school.]Keegan asked: [Is everything okay with him?] [Pretty much. He speaks and acts logically. | didn't notice anything wrong abouthim]

He continued: [If he's a normal person, why would he marry a woman with intellectual disabilities?]

Stella was taken aback: [Well... | can't directly ask him about that, can I? Do you think something's wrong?]

Keegan quietly scrutinized Larry. He was not skeptical for no reason; he just found it strange that a perfectly normal man with thecapability to support a family would marry someone with intellectual disabilities.

He texted Stella again: [It's not that. | just feel sorry for his family. Besides, he doesn't look forty-five at all. | would've thought hewas at least fifty if you didn't tell me.]

Stella pondered for a moment and replied: [Some people just look older than they are. Just like you; you're a year younger thanTrevor, yet you look much older than him.]

Keegan was taken aback: [Don’t you think it's because of his feminine appearance?]
