Chapter 1802

Chapter 1802

Dahlia's expression shifted as she swiftly pulled out her phone to see what Olivia was talking about. Keegan's social mediaappeared empty.

Before Dahlia could grasp the situation, Olivia widened her eyes and said, "That's odd. The post is here on my end. Did Keeganblock you from his account?"

With that, the group of affluent wives had a different opinion of Dahlia. The reconciliation between mother and son seemed morecomplex than Dahlia portrayed. The fact that Olivia could view Keegan's posts but not Dahlia raised suspicions.

Dahlia was embarrassed. Keegan rarely posted on social media, so she hadn't found it odd that she didn't see his posts. Now,she realized she might have been blocked.

The ladies exchanged glances, silently acknowledging a newfound understanding.

Clenching her fists, Dahlia remained silent and headed toward the exit. Claire, somewhat slow to comprehend, thought about herhusband's instructions and hurriedly followed, "Dahlia, aren't we going for afternoon tea?"

Olivia sighed softly as she observed Claire and saw a reflection of her past self. However, Claire was fortunate. Her husband, though not exceptionally bright, was a decent man. He did not mind bowing to wealthy ladies like Dahlia if it meant it would maketheir lives easier.

"Olivia, | heard your husband got promoted. Congratulations, " said one of the ladies in the group. The others followed suit. "He truly owes his success to you, Olivia. As they say, there's a woman behind every successful man."

“Your husband is a loyal and well-mannered man. He talks about you every time he sees us. Aman who cares for his wife isdestined for a smooth career," another added.

“His promotion must be bringing in good fortune. You're glowing, Olivia. You even look younger than me.""That's because her spirits are high in times of joy."

The flattering comments echoed, and Olivia responded with a faint smile. Stella's words rang true; this circle was exceptionallyhypocritical. They circled around whoever had higher wealth and status.

Once, Olivia had envisioned how she would rise to prominence in this circle after her husband's success. However, now that shewas in that position, she felt surprisingly calm. She had the power to elevate her foolish husband, but she also had the means to bring him down. She would ultimately rely onnovelbin

her abilities to establish herself in this social circle.

The ladies claimed Stella was lucky to be born into the Saun family. However, they didn't realize she had put in a lot of work tobuild up The Velvet in a short time.

‘If anything, Jaylene is the lucky one. She got to enjoy all the privileges of being the Sauns’ daughter despite having no bloodrelation to Wenham,’ thought Olivia.

Jaylene excelled in arts and culture but fell short in practical matters.

On the other hand, Stella had learned valuable lessons during her twenty-five years with the Jewell family. She understood theimportance of practical success, so she ventured into untapped markets, expanding beyond the luxuries Jaylene wasaccustomed to.
