Wenham nodded, "Good, they're all very meaningful stuff. Stella mentioned that you were the one who helped her with herdefamation lawsuit. Is that true?”novelbin
"Yeah, that was when we had just met."
Wenham suddenly asked Stella, "Stella, why didn't you think of letting Marshall help you with your divorce lawsuit back then?With his capabilities, I'm sure he wouldn't have let you leave with nothing, right?"
Keegan remained silent.Stella said in a low voice, "Dad, | did get something after the divorce. People were just spreading rumors.”
Not only did Keegan transfer her a substantial amount of money after the divorce, but she also received two multimillion-dollarluxury homes.
Stella knew that Wenham deliberately said those things for Keegan to hear because he was unhappy with him.
However, it was something that had happened a long time ago. She could joke with Keegan about it, but she did not want otherpeople to make fun of him.
Wenham pursed his lips and stopped talking about it, knowing how soft-hearted his daughter was. Then, he served Keegan apiece offish fillet, "Eat some. It's good for your brain."
Stella looked at Keegan's "pitiful" face after being teased by Wenham, and her heart immediately softened. She lifted her fork,intending to serve him some food, but Jaylene had already placed a plate of peeled shrimp in front of him.
"Keegan, the shrimp are delicious. Try them."Stella paused and retracted her fork.The next moment, Marshall picked up a piece of spicy crab and placed it on Stella's plate, "| remember you like spicy food."
Stella kept quiet. She indeed liked spicy food.
However, things were not the same anymore.
She was pregnant, and the doctor advised her to cut down on spicy food. Besides, crabs could contain high levels of mercury,which can damage the baby's developing nervous system.
However, Marshall had already placed it on her plate, and she thought it would be impolite to refuse. So, she simply thankedhim.
She pretended to crack the piece of spicy crab on her plate with her knife and fork but did not take a single bite of it.
Wenham knew what she liked to eat, so most of the dishes were her favorites. Unfortunately, there were only a few she could eatnow.
She could only pick the lighter dishes to eat. However, whenever she tried to get the food she wanted, somebody else wouldbeat her to it. She could only watch them eat as she thought asking them to serve her the food would be impolite.
“Keegan, what else do you feel like eating?" Jaylene asked.Keegan glanced at the dining table and said, "Teriyaki pork."
Jaylene stood up and placed a piece of teriyaki pork on Keegan's plate. At that time, the plate of boiled broccoli was finallyplaced in front of her.
Her eyes lit up as she immediately put some of it on her plate.
Keegan glanced at her subtly before pointing at another dish. "What's that one?” he asked.
