Kayla could not resist venting, "It's those jewelry pieces | ordered earlier. The designer did such a horrid job. My dad could notstop laughing when | showed it to him. He asked me why | was wearing a rooster around my neck. It really got under my skin."
Her friends around her burst into laughter, "Mr. Wilson sure has a sense of humor!""Why not return it?""Custom-made jewelry usually can't be returned unless there's a quality issue, right?"
"That's so unfair! Kayla paid so much money for the jewelry, yet it looks hideous. And now you're saying she can't return it? Thisis daylight robbery!"

Darcie's gaze shifted to Stella. She smiled faintly and said," Stella is still quite new to all of this, having just taken over. She mightnot be entirely familiar with how things work yet. If you truly dislike it, just bring it over, and I'll ensure you get a refund. Businessshould be a mutual agreement, not a forced transaction."
This statement showcased Darcie’s understanding of business. Not only did she advocate for Stella and clean up her mess, butshe also accommodated her customers.

Stella tightened her fists. She initially planned to fire Chris today, but with Darcie's unexpected appearance and Kayla causing ascene in the store, she knew she had no chance of doing so.
