Chapter 1205

Chapter 1205

Hylda's body stiffened, and she subconsciously gripped the bedsheets tightly. Unaware of her being tense, Albert turned away,as he was still reeling from the loss of his son. He had no interest in watching the surveillance footage and politely declinedOlivia's offer. "That's alright, Mrs. Chapman. Thank you for coming, and sorry for the trouble."

Olivia smiled reassuringly and said, "It's no trouble at all, Mr. Jewell. | just want to make sure that everything is clear so there areno future complications for my business. It's better to address these matters directly than to deal with misunderstandings later.Do contact me if you need anything, Mr. Jewell."novelbin

Albert, being a businessman himself, understood Olivia's perspective and did not doubt her intentions. On the other hand, Hyldaglared at Olivia angrily, as she was unhappy about her interference.

Sophia furrowed her brow and said, "I think this is the wrong time to discuss this, Mrs. Chapman. My mom just had a miscarriageand is still recovering."

Surprised by the news of Hylda’s miscarriage, Olivia exclaimed, "Oh my! I'm sorry to hearthat."

Sophia expected her to leave after expressing her concern. But, to Sophia's dismay, Olivia continued, "Then, that's all the morereason to investigate and clarify what happened. We cannot let this incident go unaddressed."

Sophia was at a loss for words. ‘Is Mrs. Chapman intentionally stirring up trouble?’

Upon hearing that, Albert felt an overwhelming anger welling up, as he recalled that he had lost a son. He was determined to findout who harmed his child. "Thank you, Mrs. Chapman," he said.

"It's no problem. | want to clear my name as well,” replied Olivia as she pulled out her phone and played the surveillance video.

Hylda clenched her fists, thinking that there was no point in trying to keep things a secret any longer. 'What's the worst that couldhappen? The baby in that bitch's belly isn't going to survive anyway.’

After a few minutes, Albert roared, "It was you!"Sophia's heart trembled, and she cursed Olivia in her heart. lan, on the other hand, remained silent with a tense expression.

Meanwhile, Hylda was composed. She looked up and responded in a cold tone, "She was the one who started makingdisrespectful remarks to me! Who does she think she is? Who gave her the audacity to provoke me on my wedding day?"

As she said that, she looked at Albert with tears in her eyes and continued, "You promised me that you would handle thissituation, but look at what happened. You impregnated her and allowed her to ruin our wedding!"

Albert had a lot on his mind but was momentarily speechless after being exposed by Hylda. He had assured her that he woulddeal with Xenia if she promised to keep the child. He even offered her a small share of his business to pacify her. Hylda hadagreed to the deal and appeared unaware of Xenia's impending visit. ‘Did Xenia deliberately show up to provoke Hylda?1 Albertthought.

Olivia glanced at Albert, who was thrown off by Hylda’s words. Then, she calmly stated, "You could have simply dismissed thegirl if you didnt want her there, Mrs. Jewell. There was no need to resort to violence. Given your condition, weren't youconcerned about harming the child in your womb?"

She was trying to imply that Hylda did not really care for the baby since she engaged in a physical altercation over a few tauntsfrom someone else.

Albert might not be the brightest person in the room, but when it came to matters concerning his child, he was extremely quick-witted. Olivia's words instantly reminded him of Hylda's previous attempt to abort the child behind his back.

"Hylda did not want this child since the beginning. She didn’t even seem as excited about giving birth. When she was pregnantwith Hugo, she panicked and contemplated calling the ambulance after a minor fall in the bathroom. This time, however, herimmediate reaction was to blame Xenia for pushing her over the railing...’

Albert's lips tightened as he locked eyes with Hylda, and his anger intensified. Hylda felt a sudden wave of panic and said, "Whatare you insinuating, Mrs. Chapman? Are you saying that | purposely got rid of my own child and framed that woman for it?"
