Chapter 1201

Chapter 1201

Hylda froze, and her eyes widened as she looked at Olivia. ‘That can't be right! I've checked this wedding venue multiple timeswhen everything was being set up, and there were no cameras near the gazebo."

The area was surrounded by lush greenery, which made it difficult for people to spy on Hylda and Xenia when they were havingtheir conversation. It was the perfect place for Hylda to execute her scheme without leaving any traces behind. She had evenconsulted the park administrator of Dragon Lagoon to confirm the locations of all the surveillance cameras to ensure that therewere no hiccups in her plan.

‘What the hell is Olivia on about?’ thought Hylda. She forced herself to remain composed and asked, "What is the meaning ofthis, Mrs. Chapman? Do you think I'm lying?”

Olivia put on an innocent-looking face and explained, "Mrs. Jewell, as the owner of Dragon Lagoon, it is my responsibility toensure that the facilities | provide are safe for use. Since | would be liable if anything happens to my tenants or their guests dueto amenity issues, I've installed multiple CCTVs around the area to monitor the place. | don't mean to question your honesty,Mrs. Jewell. I'm just suggesting we check the surveillance footage to find out the truth."

Hearing that, Xenia was quick to react. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she said, ’Mr. Jewell, | swear | didn't push her. Sheasked me to come here, and we were just talking when she suddenly grabbed my arms and jumped off the-.’

"That's enough! Stop trying to frame my mom for what you've done!" Sophia interrupted.

“Let's not jump to conclusions, Ms. Jewell. How can you be absolutely certain that this young lady pushed your mother withoutlooking at the surveillance footage?" Vermont asked in disdain.

"It's obviously her! My mom's pregnant and can barely climb the stairs. There's no way she could push someone off the railing!"Sophia angrily retorted.

“Exactly. It would be difficult for Mrs. Jewell to climb the stairs. Why did she go to the gazebo when she knew that it was so highup? Did the young lady carry her up there just to push her?"

Sophia was taken aback. Feeling both embarrassed and furious, she asked, "Are you trying to imply that my mom framed her?’

Vermont shrugged. "I'm just pointing out the obvious. There's no need to get feisty, Ms. Jewell. Like Mrs. Chapman said, we cancheck the surveillance to see what happened. Why don't we just do that instead of making assumptions? Don't tell me you'rescared to reveal the truth."

Vermont's words were sharp, leaving Sophia at a loss for a quick comeback."I'm not scared!’ Sophia said.

Surprised, Vermont said, "Then, let's find out who the real culprit is. By the way, there's no reason to be mad, Ms. Jewell. | neversaid that Mrs. Jewell did it."

"You-’novelbin

“Enough, Sophia!" Hylda stepped in to stop her daughter. She turned to Albert with a pale face and said, "I'm not going to arguewith someone like her. We can watch the surveillance footage if you don't believe me."

Seeing how disheartened she looked, Albert felt that he was being ridiculous for suspecting that she would risk her own safety toharm Xenia.’ Hylda is not a foolish person,’ he thought.“Alright. | trust you,’ whispered Albert.

Just then, the park manager approached Olivia and said, "Madam, we've found the surveillance footage you requested. We'recurrently making a copy which will be sent to your phone shortly."

Hylda's lower back and abdomen were aching as she thought, ‘Fucking hell.

| can't believe that she actually has CCTV footage.’ Suddenly, she felt a warm liquid gushing out of her lower body, and her faceturned pale as she realized the severity of the situation. "Albert, the... the baby...’

Albert was alarmed when he noticed that Hylda's dress was stained in red. At the same time, Xenia was also experiencingexcruciating abdominal pain. She curled up on the ground and held her lower abdomen while crying out in agony.
