Chapter 1934

Chapter 1934

"I lied to you?”

Dahlia sneered and walked over to Aurora. When she stood in front of her, she suddenly raised her

hand and slapped Aurora across the face.

She slapped her so hard that it left her ear buzzing for a moment and made her face feel numb.

Aurora lifted her head and looked at Dahlia in disbelief, ’ Mom, why?”

With a stern face, Dahlia spoke in a sharp voice, "Don't call me Mom! Aurora Kane, who exactly are

you trying to fool?!

"Did Stella really argue with Keegan? Does Keegan really hate her? Did you really put something in the

fruit vinegar she drank? I trusted you so much, but all you do is lie to me! Has that foxy woman

enchanted you as well?"

Aurora's face turned pale, "Mom, that's Keegan's baby, your grandchild. Why do you want it to die so

badly? Is it really this difficult for you to let go of your hatred for Stella?"

"Is that why you chose to betray me?" Dahlia's expression turned grim, "Do you think that Stella will let

you go if you stop acting against her? Do you honestly think that they'll forget about everything you did

before just because you did something good for once? Open your eyes and take a look; I was just

pretending, yet your brother, Stella, and everyone else suspected you first without any evidence."

Aurora looked at the person in front of her and suddenly felt like she had never really known her for the

past twenty years.

Although Cordelia told Aurora to stay with her after she was released from being locked up, her

relationship with Dahlia remained as good as ever. No matter what Dahlia was like to others, she

showed Aurora unconditional love and gave the best of everything since she was young.

After Quentin passed away, Aurora and Keegan were separated from each other. So, she would

always put Dahlia first before Keegan.

Dahlia has not liked Stella from the moment she entered the family. Aurora knew that Dahlia had

always wanted Keegan to marry a socialite from an influential family to aid him in taking over Vinci

Rivera.

However, that was something Stella could not provide him with. Therefore, Dahlia hated Stella, and so

did she. She could never figure out why Keegan, being as excellent as he was, would choose to be

with someone like Stella.

That was why she tricked Stella into entering Jackson's room. She intended to play a play and scare

her.

However, she became frightened when she saw Jackson returning to his room. At that moment, she

did not know whether she was afraid of Stella getting in trouble or if she was afraid of getting into

trouble herself. So, she went and told Dahlia about it.

But Dahlia said that everything was fine because Jackson would not cross the line.

It was not until Stella hurt Jackson and ran out of the room that she realized it was not fine at all.

Stella was furious and wanted to tell Cordelia about it.

However, Dahlia used the reputation of the Kane family as a reason to stop her from exposing thenovelbin

incident.

At that time, Aurora felt lucky that her mother helped her cover it up. Otherwise, if Keegan and Cordelia

found out, she would have been in serious trouble.

That was also probably the reason why she became even more reckless in her actions.

Sometimes, Dahlia would sigh and say that if Keegan had followed her arrangements and married

someone from another wealthy family, he would not have been suppressed by Chandler in the

company. Whenever Aurora heard this, she hated Stella even more.

After Stella got married to Keegan, Aurora often bullied her behind his back. Although Stella would

stand up for herself occasionally, she would mostly keep quiet for Keegan's sake. However, no matter

right or wrong, Dahlia always sided with her, making her feel more and more that she was in the right.

Indeed, if it were not for marrying Stella, Keegan would have long become the successor of Vinci

Rivera. Instead, he had to struggle so hard in the company for so many years, constantly oppressed by

Chandler.

Aurora had always thought that Dahlia disliked Stella because she felt like Stella had been an obstacle

to

Keegan's success.
