Sophia could not sell the shares she had bought and could not turn them into cash to repay Ethan. So,the Shaw family was now hounding her for the money.
Even worse, Ethan had also posted plenty of Sophia’s private photos in their circle, threatening torelease all the uncensored ones online if she failed to pay up. He wanted to show everyone how sluttyshe looked around men.

She spent two days tracking down Albert and finally saw him around his office.

Sophia got so angry that her face turned pale. “Are you going to give me money or not?!’ she grittedher teeth and spoke.
Albert pursed his lips. “Eight million dollars is not a small amount. Tell Ethan to wait a little longer. Oncethe company settles the accounts for this quarter, I’ll pay you back for the
shares you bought no matter what.’
Sophia immediately calmed down.
Her mother was right about Albert being a selfish and selfserving man. He had never intended for herto take over the company. Even if he did not have a son, he would simply find another maledescendant of the Jewell family to inherit the company. He would never give her the company.
She was nothing but a tool for making the Jewell family strong.
Stella faced the same fate, and so did she.
Sophia even had it worse than Stella, who had never experienced the fake fatherly love of Albert andgot married to a decent man.
