Felicity’s face twisted in frustration.
‘What a shameless thing this Keegan is! How could he threaten me again!’
“Felicity?” Stella spoke in a gentle tone when she did not get any response. “I’ll tell Keegan to leave ifyou don’t want to stay with Vermont.” She thought for a moment before she continued, “You two juststarted dating not long ago, so there’s no need to rush things.”
Felicity clenched her teeth. ’Does that mutt really think that I’m afraid of him?
Tm going to bite back this time!’
She took a deep breath and was about to explode at Keegan. However, Vermont put his hand over hermouth as soon as she was about to speak.
He threw her phone away, and whispered in her ear, “Keegan is a very vengeful person. I’m sure thathe’s determined to stay with Stella now. If you were to ruin his plan and he goes berserk on you, therewill be nothing I can do to help you.”
Felicity remained silent and widened her gaze to express her anger.
Vermont looked at her glazing big eyes and felt a tickling sensation inside.
Then, he tried to convince her. “To them, you’re my
girlfriend. Stella will start suspecting our relationship if you reject them too blatantly, and my reputationwill be ruined. You said you’d help me. How can I consider you a friend if you were to back out now?”
Felicity heard that and a slightly hesitant expression appeared on her face.
She would have no problem going against Keegan, but she could not turn her back on her friend,Vermont.
Vermont noticed her expression softening and immediately took the chance to persuade her further.“We’re clearly at a disadvantage here. Just agree with him, and I’ll find a chance to get back at them foryou next time.”
Stella’s voice rang out again after Vermont said that.” Felicity? Are you there?”
Vermont rubbed her head and let go of her.
Felicity’s face darkened, but she seemed a lot calmer now. Then, she cleared her throat and reluctantlysaid, “Ah, I mean, I do have thoughts about it…”
Vermont gave her a big thumbs-up and silently said, “Talk about it more to convince her.”
Felicity gritted her teeth and shyly continued, “Vermont talked to me about it before, but I never had thecourage to tell you… I didn’t want you to think that I’m an easy person…”
Stella kept quiet.
She could not believe that she had been making a fool out of herself. She thought she was helpingFelicity, but it turned out that she was simply ruining a happy couple’s relationship.
Stella sighed. “Why would I think that? You should’ve told me sooner.”
Felicity replied nonchalantly, “I was shy.”
“When are you going to move, then?”
“I…I’ll probably stay here tonight. He’s acting very clingy today.”
Her response left Stella utterly speechless.
Then, Stella hung up the phone with a worried expression on her face before turning to look at Keegan.
Keegan locked the screen of his phone without raising any suspicion.
Stella did not notice anything strange at all, as she asked in a low voice, “Do you think Vermont will dothat thing to Felicity?”

Stella kicked him and glared at him. “Quit pretending.”
Keegan chuckled. “That’s none of our business. It’s not something that you should be worried about.”
Then, he pulled her back into his arms again before he asked in a deep voice, “Which room am Isleeping in tonight? n
Stella was still thinking about Felicity, so she replied absentmindedly, “Whichever you want.”
Keegan lifted his brows.
‘Is that… an invitation?’
Stella ignored him and ordered something from an app on her phone.
Keegan leaned closer to her. “What are you buying?”
Then, he saw Stella browsing the webpage of a pharmacy and adding a box of Durex to her cart.
