Chapter 1109

Chapter 1109

Lindi complained, “Are you riding this wave too? Do you even need it?”

Nicole glanced at her and shot back, “Aren’t you always telling me to not offend others? Theyapproached me, so shouldn’t I appreciate that?”novelbin

Lindi was at a loss for words. She thought, ‘She never listens when she should and always listenswhen she shouldn’t.’

Meanwhile, Bella, having received Nicole’s positive response, quickly composed a congratulatory tweetfor Nicole’s award-winning show and eagerly awaited Nicole’s reply.

After approximately thirty minutes, Tammy stumbled upon Nicole’s freshly posted tweet and exclaimedexcitedly,” Nicole tweeted!”

Bella hurriedly asked, “What did she post? Did she tag me?”

Tammy’s mouth twitched slightly as she checked.

Noticing Tammy’s silence, Bella furrowed her brow and inquired, “What’s wrong?”

Tammy brought her phone in front of Bella, who took a look and felt her anger rise, almost leaving herbreathless.

Nicole had shared a screenshot of Tammy’s request for social media interaction, accompanied by thecaption:” Done.”

This wasn’t interaction at all; it was pure humiliation. Nicole’s tweet felt like a sarcastic remark, implyingthat despite Bella’s popularity, she was still begging for Nicole’s attention. It seemed as if Nicole was

intentionally trampling on Bella’s pride.

Fueled with fury, Bella swiftly deleted her earlier congratulatory tweet about Nicole’s award andunfollowed her.

Meanwhile, Keegan was still absent for lunch, leaving Stella feeling a bit bored at home. After finishingher meal and taking a brief rest, she decided to head upstairs to the workout room and hop on thetreadmill for a jog. She hadn’t been running for long when her phone rang, causing her to immediatelystep off the treadmill and anxiously answer the call.

“Hello, Cordelia.”

Cordelia sounded worried, “Stella, Sevin is missing!”

Stella paused for a moment and quickly responded, “Did it perhaps hide at the bottom of the pond? Trytempting it with some food. It’s quite the glutton, so it’s bound to show up.”

Sevin was a golden koi fish residing in Cordelia’s pond. Cordelia had acquired it along with Keegan’sgrandfather when they moved into the estate, and it had been a resident of the pond ever since. Sevinmeasured around ninety centimeters in length and weighed over thirty pounds.

Remarkably, it was even older than Keegan. The fish appeared plump and robust.

Among all the pets Cordelia owned, Sevin held a special place in her heart, second only to Juno.

It seemed highly unlikely that such a large fish could just disappear, so Stella thought there was a goodchance that Sevin had hidden itself.

However, Cordelia insisted, “No, no matter how many times I call for it, Sevin doesn’t come out.Baldwin just used a net to catch all the other fish, and they’re all there except for Sevin. Someone musthave stolen it!”

“I find it hard to believe that someone could easily steal a big fish like Sevin,” Stella replied.

“Then do you think it could have jumped out of the pond on its own and wandered off?” Cordelia’sdesperation was evident.

Stella had never encountered a situation like this before.

“Cordelia, when was the last time you saw Sevin?”

“It was there yesterday morning!” Cordelia replied in extreme anxiety. “Could it have transformed into ahuman and run away?”

Cordelia’s statement left Stella momentarily speechless.

Attempting to calm Cordelia’s worries, Stella suggested,” Let Baldwin check the surveillance footage.I’ll give Keegan a call and ask him about it.”

After concluding the conversation with Cordelia, Stella stood on the second-floor terrace and dialedKeegan’s number. As she waited for him to answer, her gaze absentmindedly fell upon the yard below, where she caught sight of a plump, golden fish swimming in the pond.

Stella was taken aback once again, finding herself at a loss for words.
