Chapter 1081

Chapter 1081

Marshall smiled and said, “No. I wasn’t hungry.” “You should still eat something even if you don’t feelhungry. Your health is important, especially since you stay up late every night.”

“Mmm. Okay, Mom. Got it. I’ll eat that yogurt in a while.”

“Don’t lie to me. Eat it now. I won’t leave until you do.” Marshall had no choice but to pick up the bowl ofyogurt and oblige. He did not like eating yogurt because of the sourness. He felt nauseous every timehe finished but never refused to eat it when his mom asked him to.

Ariel was more than relieved to see her son obey her wishes. She sat on the side of the bed andhelped Marshall fold his clothes. While doing so, she asked, “Marshall, I heard you have a girlfriend.”

“Who told you that?” Marshall responded indifferently.

“A few people from poker said that they saw you bring a girl to Duncan’s wedding and asked me if shewas your girlfriend.”

Marshall smiled, but it did not reach the bottom of his eyes.” Seems like they’re quite interested in mypersonal affairs.”

“Well, I did ask them to introduce some girls to you. They’re just concerned. They wanted to know moreto avoid causing you and your partner trouble.” Ariel paused and asked, “What

kind of work does she do? How old is she? Do you have a picture of her?”

Marshall did not answer her questions. Instead, he said,” Does it matter? Will you accept ourrelationship if I like her? No matter her background?”

Ariel hesitated for a while, treading carefully. “We’d have to meet her parents to make a betterjudgment. After all, both families should be involved.”

Suddenly, Marshall let out a laugh. There was an indescribable sense of strangeness behind thatlaughter. Ariel was startled when she heard that. “What?” She asked in a low voice.

Marshall put down the empty bowl and shook his head.” Nothing. It’s just too early to talk about all this. We’re still in the talking stage.”

Ariel swallowed her words, picked up the folded clothes, and put them in the closet. When she wasabout to close the door, she saw bloody scratches inside the wardrobe. Her heart trembled, and sherushed to check Marshall’s hand.

Seeing that his hands were fine, Ariel’s heartbeat gradually calmed down. She seemed like she wantedto say something but held herself back. She pulled one of the shirts to cover the scratches andhurriedly closed the cabinet door.

“Go to sleep earlier. Don’t stay up too late.” Ariel picked up the empty bowl and said softly, “Put yourbody first. It’s okay to put work aside for a while. If… If you really like that girl,

then go for it. I’ll help you in any way I can.”novelbin

Marshall smiled at the sound of that. “Thanks, Mom.”

After that, Ariel quietly left the room and gently closed the door. Marshall glanced at the closet and gotup to go to the bathroom. Not long after, there was the sound of Marshall vomiting.

Keegan did not hold back from fooling around with Stella the whole night. She was knocked outcompletely when they were done. Her phone started ringing nonstop early the next morning. Stella wasso sleepy that she kicked Keegan in a daze and said, “Answer the phone.”

With his eyes closed, Keegan walked to the bedside table and grabbed the phone. He then pressedanswer without looking at it. “Hello?”

The person on the other line did not say a word.

“Who is this?” Keegan frowned and asked.

There were three seconds of silence on the other line. “Why is Stella’s phone with you? Where is she?”Trevor gritted his teeth and asked.

Keegan was taken aback when he heard the voice from the other side.
