“Why are you still here?” he asked.
“I wanted to thank you. The presentation went well,” Aurelia said with a smile.
“That’s good.”
“I won’t keep you from your work then.”
“You waited this long just to thank me?” he asked.
“What else can there be?” Aurelia gave him a confused look.
“Nothing.” He frowned, then turned to head into the office.
Just then, Aurelia caught up to him.
“Mr. Synder, please wait. Can I… treat you to a meal at a proper restaurant? But it’s fine if you’re notfree.”
She looked at him nervously, not knowing why she was so nervous about a simple meal.
