Judging by how they spread rumors recklessly and then just casually apologizing, it seemed like these
offenders never experienced any repercussions for their actions.
Mia wondered why she should accept their apology while still having to deal with the fallout from their
baseless gossip.
Shelly, unaccustomed to manual labor, reluctantly carried the bundle of string lights upstairs.

Mia stood nearby, covertly observing Maya and Shelly as they removed their high heels and started
relocating the string lights.
