Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 67

Chapter 67 Why Didn’t You Discuss with Me Dannien sat in his office and thought about the abortion

Incident.

Last night, Clarissa refused to let him touch her. Before that, she told Luke that she didn’t want a childnovelbin

at all. She was meant to become an accountant and earn buckets of gold, after all.

She told Damien that she said all that just to trick her brother. Now that he thought about it, that didn’t

seem to be the case.

She must have secretly gotten an abortion without him knowing,

Clarissa…!

Damien quickly used the company landline to dial Clarissa’s desk phone.

“Come to my office!” His voice was so cold that it could freeze someone from inside out.

Clarissa was so exhausted. Plus, she was in the middle of calculating a hefty bill, so she couldn’t bear

to lose her focus. She tried to delay the meeting. “Can I go there later?”

“Now!”

Feeling quite helpless, she could only ditch her work for the time being and headed to Damien’s office.

The moment Clarissa entered his office, Damien did his best to control the rage in his voice as he

asked, “Did you get rid of the baby?”

That woke her up instantly. “What?!” Clarissa didn’t know what he was talking about. “When I was away

these few days, did you get an abortion?” Damien glared at Clarissa with murderous intent.

Clarissa frowned.’ was never pregnant in the first place! Didn’t I tell you this before?’

“I didn’t get pregnant at all! I was lying to my brother that day!” she replied.

However, she suddenly noticed the thermos flask that was sitting on Damien’s desk. It was made of

stainless steel.

She thought, ‘Who could’ve visited his office earlier? Could it be Madelynn? The reason she came to

me in the first place was because she wanted me to abort this baby. Now that I’ve fulfilled her wish, wliy

did she come here to tell Damien that I got an abortion?’

Madelynn was a brutal and two-faced person who could play both the good and bad cop.

Clarissa was no match for Madelynn’s deviousness. She knew Damien would choose to believe

Madelynn, no matter what Clarissa said.

After all, Madelynn was his first love.

In the end, Clarissa smiled coldly. “Whatever I say is useless, anyway. Fine. Since you think I got an

abortion for real, then let’s make it that way. Bye.”

“Stop!” Damien suppressed his rage the best he could.

He stood up from his chair and approached Clarissa angrily. He forced her against the door so that she

had nowhere to run.

Clarissa frowned, looking up at Damien in scar.

“Why did you abort the baby?!” Stark red eyes bore down at Clarissa. He was only ten centimeters

from her. As expected, Madelynn could fan his emotions. Clarissa had never seen this side of Damien

before

“We’ll be divorced sooner or later. Why shouldn’t I get rid of the baby?” Stubbornness and

determination flickered through Clarissa’s eyes as she looked up, returning his gaze.

“Why didn’t you discuss it with me?”

“I never told you I was pregnant in the first place so I can numb your heart. Since that’s the case, why

should I discuss my plans of abortion with you? How much are you paying me?” Clarissa asked in a

checky tone, looking like the definition of cold-hearted. “How much do you want?” Damien glared holes

into Clarissa’s face as he squeezed out every word.

“Filty inillion dollars.”

“Money transactions are the casiest! Good… Very good!” Damien sounded extremely furious, but at the

same time he was eerily calm.

Clarissa suddenly laughed. “Things have already progressed to this point. Nothing you say will change

the course of late. Our baby is gone.”

“Go back to your dorm room tonight!” Damien roared. “I don’t want to see you!” “Okay,” Clarissa

agreed.

Damien turned around and left. Meanwhile, Clarissa opened the door and sled.

While she walked, she kept thinking to hersell, ‘I already told him that I’m not pregnant, but he refused

to believe me no matter what. He got so angry at me over Madelynn’s words. What kind of scumbag is

he?! It’s best if I return to my dorm. I don’t want to be near him when he’s this violent.’

Clarissa walked down the corridor quickly. The people who walked past her all muttered with each

other, “She must have fought with Mr. Lawrence because of her selfish decision to get an abortion.”

When Howard noticed Clarissa entering Damien’s office earlier, he felt anxiety racking his nerves. After

Clarissa got her abortion, he didn’t give her a few days off to recuperate, so he was worried that

Damien would blame him for that.

Soon, it would be his turn to enter Damien’s office. When Clarissa saw Howard in the corridor, all she

did was nod at him and say, “Hey.” It was obvious that she and Damien had completely fallen out.

Howard couldn’t help but shiver in sear.

He knocked on Damien’s office door.

Coincidentally, the latter happened to be lighting a cigarette and leaning against his chair

exasperatedly. This scene made Howard even more frightened, thus he didn’t dare to say anything.

“What is it? Speak now.” Damien sounded very impatient. “M-Mr. Lawrence, w-well… Clarissa went to

get… get an abortion earlier. After that, s-she didn’t request a few days off, s-so I didn’t give her a

vacation. I… I think this is bad for her health, but I wasn’t thinking that much back then, s-so please

don’t blame me,” Howard stammered.

“How did you know she got an abortion?” “W-Well… After her surgery, she came back to the company

and placed her report on the desk before going to the washroom. Someone saw it and told me…”

“Leave.” Smoke had already started to fog up Damien’s vision. If Clarissa’s pregnancy was fake, why

would she produce a report out of nowhere? That was completely unnecessary. “A-Are you okay, sir?”

“Just leave.” Damien frowned angrily. Howard quickly lest after that. After the day was over, Damien

didn’t want to go home at all. He sat in his office on his own. Even after night fell, he had no intentions

to switch on the lights in his office, nor did he want to leave.
