Chapter 576 Queen Clarissa
On Saturday, Clarissa went to New East Corporation for the meeting.novelbin
The staff weren’t working on that day, so Clarissa was subject to much less gossip.
Clarissa sat in the middle of the conference room while Damien took up the main seat as usual. From
start to end, Damien barely looked at her.
Clarissa was very quiet, silently concentrating on the presentation on the slides.
At that moment, someone knocked at the door.
Damien’s assistant came in. She said, “Mr. Lawrence, Mrs. Lawrence has sent you food.”

When Clarissa heard the assistant’s words, her face instantly turned red from anger.

Ray and Janet both shot Clarissa a meaningful look. They saw how she kept twirling the pencil in her

Ray dropped his pen and sat in his seat huffily. He couldn’t stand it.
Chanel entered the room.
“Damien, I’m here. You asked me to come on the weekend, so here I am. I specially made you some
soup. Here, have a taste,” Chanel said warmly.
“Alright. Take it to my office.”
“Come quickly, okay?” After speaking, Chanel left.
Clarissa kept her head bowed all throughout this exchange. She wondered how someone could
change so quickly.
Clarissa barely absorbed any of the information from the rest of the meeting.
When the meeting ended, Clarissa hurried to leave the conference room.
She was thinking about how devious Damien was to bring Chanel here to spite her. In that case, she
couldn’t allow herself to seem weak. She would have to dress up to show him up.
She was no longer the old Clarissa. She was Queen Clarissa!
Of course, it was also possible Damien hadn’t wanted to intentionally spite her. The two were so in

“Actually, Mrs. Faber made this. I only came today to visit you. Mrs. Faber said you’re here for a
meeting and asked me to bring this to you. I saw that Clarissa was here too. She must’ve done
something to displease you, now that you’re doing this to her. I just wanted to help you.”
“Thank you,” Damien said politely. “Right. I said that we’ve already gotten our marriage certificate.”
Chanel bit her lower lip lightly. “Okay. I won’t let anything slip.”
“That’s good. After everything’s done, just tell me what you want,” Damien said casually.
Chanel was a learned person, so this kind of talk made her feel small. She was extremely upset to hear
Damien say such a thing, even though she didn’t show it.
She felt nothing but love for Damien, yet he thought of her as someone superficial.
He and Clarissa were both the same!
