Clarissa was defeated. “If that’s what’s bothering you, we can get remarried first.”
Damien staunchly ignored her, and went downstairs without saying a word.
He had no idea that Clarissa was already getting her visa.
Just then, George texted Clarissa again. [Miss Johnson, I heard Iris will be going on a trip with that girl.
I can arrange a meet-up between you and Victor, but you have to come here quickly.]
“I’ll try,” Clarissa replied.
“What about Charles? Did you tell him about what happened? He’s still single, and he deserves to
know,” Clarissa added.
“He’s disappeared for a long time. Nobody knows where he went, or where he is.”
Iris ruined Clarissa’s family, and she couldn’t do anything about it as she was powerless back then.
Now, however, Clarissa was determined to get her revenge and rescue her mother.

“Clarissa, your mother’s visa is being used by Iris. Technically, your mother doesn’t have one.”
Instantly, Clarissa felt bad for her mother.
That night, she was watching a movie when tears started streaming down her cheeks.
That was what Damien saw when he came out of the shower.
“Stop watching,” he demanded.
“I’m going!” Clarissa repeated determinedly. “If I knew you’d be controlling me again, I’d get back with
you after I saved my mom and not before! I just wanted to help her and see if she’s doing fine!”
Damien threw his towel in anger. “Who else is waiting for you in London other than your mother?”
Clarissa’s face turned pale. “Huh? Who else is waiting for me?”
Clarissa wondered if Damien saw her texts, but she didn’t know that he actually saw her hugging Seth
the other day.
Damien had been comforting himself, convincing himself that they were just doctor and client. Thus, he
never brought the matter up to Clarissa…
But it sounded to him that the reason Clarissa wanted to leave so badly was because of Seth.
Even so, Damien tried to hold back his anger and his desires, especially after Seth told him that
Clarissa hated being forced.
He just got her back, so he didn’t want to lose her again.
So, he simply lay on the bed and pretended to be sleeping, not bothered to talk to her.
