Chapter 550 Ask Damien to Pick Her Up
Bethany and Clarissa both slumped on the table and fell asleep. Lily was left to eat on her own, and
she paid when she was done.
As she paid, she muttered, “Those two drunkards! How do you expect a pregnant woman to get the
two of you back home?”
She called Damien and asked him to pick Clarissa up. As for Bethany, she decided to leave her alone
while waiting for Damien to come.
At the same time, a grand wedding was being held at a luxurious hotel in Genovia.
The groom was handsome, while the bride was elegant. They had just exchanged rings and were
about to proceed with the final step when the crowd suddenly started to whisper among themselves.
Joseph and Penelope were on stage, so they didn’t notice this.
It was obvious to those who were offstage, though.
Slowly, whatever the crowd was whispering about reached Shirley, Joseph’s mother.
Chanel was the one who had started this rumor. She found a friend and told him about this, and then
asked him to spread the word to as many people as possible.
“Apparently, Frank Moore slept with Iris Benson way back. He even helped her set up her film
production company, but she was such a scumbag that she kicked him to the curb after that. That’s
why he married his current wife.”
Iris was a hot topic in Genovia lately, and Shirley had heard of her. She knew Iris was a career woman,
and she was different from an ordinary housewife.
Shirley also knew that rumors generally had some truth to them.
She turned to look at her husband. Frank’s face was pale, and his hands were trembling.
Shirley was even more sure that this was true.
Frank had never mentioned a word about Iris to her. It was as if they were two parallel lines that had
never come into contact with each other, and Shirley had always thought that Iris would have nothing to
do with her.
She believed in two people being together forever, and Frank had always treated her well. He had
never had any affairs over the years, which was why Shirley couldn’t help feeling that she had beennovelbin
lied to.

Shirley clenched her fists in anger.
Frank glanced at her as well. Her expression was steely, and she didn’t say anything.
In fact, she wanted to ask him where this rumor had originated from. Frank and Iris were completely

Joseph when he harbored feelings for her. Yet here she was, causing trouble at Joseph’s wedding.

She even had someone find out where Clarissa was at the moment. It had been a few years since she
had last heard this name.
Joseph had never brought her up, and Shirley heard that Clarissa wasn’t even in Genovia anymore.
Yet, the news Shirley had gotten was that Clarissa happened to be at Genovia now. In fact, the latter
was with the Lawrence family.
Shirley got into a car and headed straight for Damien’s home without any hesitation.
