Chapter 501 Imagine That

After sending the text, Clarissa did a search to check where the restaurant was located. It was quite

near to La Monde Hotel. Clarissa supposed Seth must have been too busy with his meetings and didn’t

have a chance to explore town. Thus, he picked a nearby restaurant since he didn’t know what was

good in Florin. He had probably eaten there himself and found the food acceptable.

Seth never checked reviews online, and only prioritized his own opinions.

After watching the fireworks at Central Square, it was almost ten o’ clock at night. Lily, Eric, and

Clarissa happily got back into Damien’s car.

“Finished?” Damien asked.

“Yeah, it was so fun! We don’t have this in Genovia. Florin is so much better! Mr. Lawrence, why did

you, as a Florinian, come to Genovia? You’re missing out on all the sights.”

“Me? I went to Genovia to work. Eventually, I just stayed there. I’m an immigrant,” he said with a

chuckle.

“You’re so funny. If you wanted to move to Genovia, the local government would kill to have you. Isn’t

that right, Clarissa?” Lily asked Clarissa.

Clarissa didn’t expect Lily to ask her this. Still, she replied, “That’s right. Money really makes the world

go round.”

Damien frowned. Why did it seem that Clarissa was mocking him?

Lily rolled her eyes at Clarissa. She seemed to want to say, “Can’t you be more polite?”

After they arrived at the campus guesthouse, Lily said to Damien, “Mr. Lawrence, you should leave

first. I have some things to talk about with Clarissa.”

She didn’t think Damien would want to spend time with Clarissa after dropping her off.

Coincidentally, Lily’s suggestion matched up well with Clarissa’s intentions.

Damien drove off. As soon as he was gone, Lily exploded in anger.

“What’s wrong with you?! Do you think Mr. Lawrence came all the way here to listen to your

nonsense?” Lily told Clarissa off. “You’ve had two kids together. How old are you guys?! What do you

think you’re up to? Clarissa, you better think well and hard about this. If you don’t want him, Mr.

Lawrence will have no trouble finding someone else. There used to be many people interested in him,

right? If you want your son to have a stepmother, keep doing what you’re doing. It’s your life! I’m

leaving with my son tomorrow.”

“You’re leaving so soon?” Clarissa asked.

“Yes. I’m pregnant, remember?” Lily said. “What do you even think about all day?”

If Lily hadn’t mentioned it, Clarissa really would’ve forgotten all about the pregnancy.

“I’ll send you to the bus station tomorrow. What time are you leaving?”

“After breakfast, probably. Ten o’ clock, I think?”

“Okay.”

The next day, Clarissa returned to campus to organize her things after seeing Lily and Eric off. She left

the university at four in the evening and headed to Red Rose Restaurant.

Seth was already waiting for her. When he saw Clarissa, he waved at her from afar.

“I’m leaving tomorrow. Will you see me off?” he asked her.

“Oh, tomorrow? There’s a mandatory meeting, so I might not make it.”

“That’s fine,” Seth said. “We’ll have other opportunities to see each other again, anyway.”

The server brought them some caviar and sea urchin. Seth made a gesture and said, “Serve them to

her.”

In everything, Seth always put Clarissa first. As time went by, this made Clarissa feel uneasy.

“Miss me in Merania?” he asked.

After thinking about it, Clarissa nodded.

“Miss me to the moon and back?”

“Don’t joke.” Clarissa looked at him.

Seth burst out laughing. “It’s fine either way. As long as you miss me.”

“Are you going to come back after this?” Clarissa asked.novelbin

“Soon. I might collaborate with the psychology department of your university and come back to give a

talk. The University of Florin has already sent me a letter offering me an honorary professorship. I didn’t

have time for it now, but I may have to do a report next time,” Seth said.

“Our university?” Clarissa was a little stunned.

“Are you happy about it?”

Clarissa wondered, ‘Do you want to be an honorary professor too now that Damien has become one?’

“I’m quite happy.” Clarissa looked up, smiling.

“It’ll be another month, probably. If I have free time, I’ll come by and see you. What would you like?”

“Get me a SCARF vinyl? They don’t sell them in Merania,” Clarissa said.

Forget selling such things in Merania, few people knew of the band. It was impossible to get a vinyl

there.

“That’s nothing. Anything else?”

“Nope.”
