Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 442

Chapter 442 He Has the Advantage That week, Clarissa didn‘t go out at all. She cooped up at home

just so she could work on her thesis and prepare her lecture notes. Even if she were to head out for

food, she would only visit the staff cafeteria instead of the student cafeteria. Hence, she didn‘t meet up

with Caleb over the past few days.

Meanwhile, Connie went to other locations in Florin for extra shoots. She returned to the University ofnovelbin

Florin on Wednesday.

Clarissa’s class was held on that day, so Connie wanted to see how things were progressing between

Clarissa and Caleb.

She also knew that Clarissa would be annoyed to see her attending her class, and that was precisely

her intention. Connie wanted to ruin Clarissa‘s day with her presence.

When Clarissa exited the Marble Garden and made her way toward her classroom, she bumped into a

familiar face – Lucy Fur.

A toddler was spotted with Lucy as well.

Lucy must have noticed Clarissa too, because she looked shocked and guilty at the same time.

Clarissa was quick to spot the little boy. He seemed to be slightly over one year old, and had just

learned how to walk. He happened to be running around excitedly, but Lucy scooped him into her arms

and covered his face the moment she noticed Clarissa. Lucy didn‘t want Clarissa to see the toddler’s

face.

It was hard for Clarissa not to overthink the reason.

She was on the fence when she first found out about Lucy‘s pregnancy. Clarissa had her suspicions

that both Lucy and Helen were Iris‘s subordinates. They had set up a scheme for her in order to force

her to fly overseas.

Now that Clarissa had witnessed Lucy with a one-year–old son, her initial belief in the latter‘s

pregnancy, which was sixty percent, now rose to a solid ninety percent.

That, and Lucy was behaving very suspiciously by trying to conceal her son’s face from Clarissa.

Clarissa opted to not say anything. Instead, she just approached Lucy.

Even though Clarissa wanted to have nothing to do with Damien, the thought of Lucy‘s pregnancy still

annoyed her to no end.

Lucy approached Clarissa and said regretfully, “Mrs. Lawrence… I didn’t come here on purpose just to

tick you off. I have a classmate who‘s working in the logistics department. I’ve taken a few days off to

come here and hang out with her.”

Clarissa didn’t say anything. She shot Lucy a glance before leaving the vicinity. From the start till the

end, she never got the chance to study Lucy’s son’s facial features properly

After that, Clarissa arrived at her classroom.

Connie was already seated there.

It was supposed to be a public lesson, anyway. Furthermore, the production crew had already come to

terms with the university, so Clarissa had no reason to chase Connie out of the classroom.

All she had to do was to ignore Connie.

However, resentment was quick to flood Clarissa’s heart. She came all the way to the University of

Florin in order to enjoy peace and quiet. It seemed that Iris refused to let her off the hook, and was

somehow able to lure everyone she hated to her workplace instead.

Soon, Clarissa directed her attention to the lesson.

A strange phenomenon occurred in the classroom. Everyone other than Caleb chose to sit in the back

rows.

Then again, Clarissa was already used to the students‘ odd antics.

Today, she had extracted asset details from a company and had the students draw up a detailed

balance sheet for the company.

Everyone started calculating immediately. Clarissa walked around the classroom constantly. Whenever

she saw someone having errors in their calculations, she would stop in her tracks and guide them back

to the correct path.

However, Clarissa constantly avoided two students. One was Caleb, and the other was Connie.

In the end, everyone was required to turn their worksheets in. “Have you completed your balance

sheets?” Clarissa gazed at the entire classroom of people. “Yes.” The students‘ voices were flat and

meager. Some of them were still in deep thought. “Are you sure you‘ve completed them?” Clarissa was

suspicious. “Those who have completed their balance sheets, raise your hand.”

Everyone raised their hands except Caleb.

Clarissa initially didn‘t want to engage in a conversation with Caleb, but at this rate, the conversation

was inevitable.

“Why didn‘t you complete the balance sheet?” she asked.

Everyone else giggled to themselves, their heads bowed.

However, Connie looked at the exchange with interest flickering in her eyes. She had no idea what a

balance sheet was, so it didn’t matter to her if she completed it or not. However, she felt that Caleb

looked pretty handsome and cool since he was the odd one out.

“I can‘t complete it at all,” Caleb replied casually,

“Looks like Caleb‘s the only one in this classroom who got it right. This company has severe debt

issues, so the balance sheet can never be completed. All of you got tricked.”

“Looks like Caleb has a great tutor, huh?” “Nah. He has the advantage from the start, after all.”
