Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 414

Chapter 414 Florin Vanessa and Patrick had already returned to Amestris. Ever since Clarissa left,

Damien was constantly in a thunderous mood. Vanessa felt bad staying with Damien. She thought

Clarissa left because Clarissa hated staying with her despicable in laws. Thus, she concluded that it

was better for her to return home with Patrick In truth, Vanessa loved spending time with Damien and

Neil. Deep down, she was secretly hoping that Damien would stop her and Patrick from leaving.

However, Vanessa confronted Damien at the wrong time. He was smoking a cigarette when Vanessa

offered to leave. Without even thinking twice or hesitating, he said yes.

Just like that, they had no choice but to eat their words and return to Amestris.

Now, Mrs. Faber and Mrs. Harris were the only ones left in the house.

When Ray heard that Damien was adamant about his decision, he turned to Neil for help.

“Neil, I want your father to go to Florin with me. Can you help me with that?” Ray knelt down and

attempted to coax Neil into convincing his father to go.

Neil glanced at Ray. “I‘ll think about it.”

At this moment, Neil was Ray‘s only hope. Only Neil would be able to convince his stubborn father

otherwise

Neil sat next to Damien and said, “Daddy, isn’t Great-grandpa from Florin? You‘ve always told me

about Florin, but you‘ve never taken me there before!”

Damien didn‘t say anything.

“My son‘s been studying at the University of Florin for four years now! He hasn‘t found himself a

girlfriend, but the moment he started his postgraduate study, he told me he‘s fallen in love and is

currently chasing after a woman! It‘s been a while since I’ve visited him. Let‘s go there, Mr. Lawrence!”

Mrs. Faber added.

Mrs. Faber didn‘t know that Clarissa was at Florin at the moment. She was simply trying to help Neil

get what he wanted when she noticed that Damien seemed reluctant to take him there.

The three of them remained silent as they tried to gauge Damien’s reaction.

Neil nudged his father‘s hand. “Daddy, can we please go to Florin?” After a while, Damien finally

replied, “Yes, we can go with Uncle Ray.” Then, he looked up and rolled his eyes at Ray.

Ray was ecstatic. ‘Yes! He finally agreed!”

Before he had the chance to smile, Damien added, “Uncle Ray will attend the meeting, and we‘ll go to

Great-grandpa’s house together.”

“Yay! Daddy is the best!” Then, Neil lay on Damien‘s chest.

Ray slouched in defeat. Now that Neil’s wish was granted, he doubted that the kid would help

Chim anymore “Whatever.” Privately, Ray told himself, ‘Who knows? They might bump into each othernovelbin

in Florin.‘

“Mrs. Faber doesn‘t have to follow us this time. We‘re not going on a work trip, so I can take care of

Neil myself,” Damien told Ray.

The reason Damien didn‘t want Mrs. Faber to tag along was that he knew Ray would ask her to take

care of Neil in case Ray found an opportunity to get Damien and Clarissa to talk to each other.

Ray slumped to the sofa upon realizing that he had no other options of getting the two of them together

anymore. Feeling dejected, he muttered under his breath, “What am I going to do now?”

“It‘s a shame I can‘t tag along. I thought that I might have a chance to visit my son today. Mr. Lawrence,

my son wants to treat you to a meal for the shoes you gave him the last time. He’s really happy to

receive such an expensive gift from you,” Mrs. Faber said, disappointment evident in her voice.

Damien onlysmiled in response.

Ray thought he could use the meal as an excuse, so Damien would allow Mrs. Faber to tag along

However, he knew that Mrs. Faber wasn’t bent on going with them. She simply wanted to express her

gratitude to Damien. She wouldn‘t want to ask for more.

After so many years of living together, Damien and Mrs. Faber were technically friends at this point. He

knew exactly what Mrs. Faber wanted. “I can meet your son there. I don‘t have any work to do, anyway.

Why don‘t you ask him to pick a restaurant?” Damien glanced at Ray after saying that. Ray was, once

again, completely speechless.
