Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 412

Chapter 412 Are You Talking About Clarissa? “Yes, I know who you‘re talking about.” Damien was

signing some documents when he added, “Write a report about the meeting and submit it to me by

today.”

“I‘ve already done it. I‘ll send it to you later.” Feeling slightly annoyed, Ray waved his hand as he

thought, ‘That‘s not the point here!‘ “She‘s working as Eden Investment Corporation’s independent

director right now,” Ray said, going back to the topic again. “She‘s a Ph.D. graduate, after all. That‘s not

surprising news to me.” “Damien, why do you sound like you don‘t care about her?” Ray was

displeased. “Why do I have to care about her? It all happened in the past. It doesn‘t matter now.”

Although Damien seemed calm on the surface, he was actually slightly rattled by the news. When

Chanel was pursuing his love many years ago, she was so obsessed with him to the point she

threatened to kill herself if he didn‘t accept her as his lover. Until now, Damien could still remember the

sight of Chanel‘s tears streaming down her face in a desperate attempt to win his heart.

“You‘ll return to my side sooner or later, Damien!” That was what Chanel threatened him with.

However, he lost all contact with her after that. If he didn‘t bump into Chanel at the gathering some

vears back, Damien would’ve long forgotten about her

“But she‘s Neil‘s mother! How can you forget about her that easily?” Ray exclaimed.

Suddenly, Damien stopped what he was doing immediately as he dropped his pen to the table. He

clasped his hands together, lost in his thoughts.

Some time later, he looked up at Ray, “Are you talking about Clarissa?

“Yes! Who else am I talking about?!” After a moment of silence, he reached for the pen again and

continued signing the documents on hand.

He wasn‘t surprised that Clarissa had achieved such heights in her career. After all, she was a

heartless woman who would abandon her family to pursue her own selfish desires.

However, what Damien didn’t expect was for her to work as Eden Investment’s independent director.

What a small world!

“Damien, I’ve already told President Benson that you’d attend the follow-up meeting personally next

time. I’m sure Clarissa will attend the meeting as well. After all, she’s a major part of the project,” Ray

said.

“I‘m not going to attend the meeting! Just go by yourself!”

“Damien, are you still holding a grudge against her? You‘ve been a single man all these years. Though

women like Lucy and Madelynn have been constantly pursuing your love interest,

you’re never fazed by any of them.” “Get out!” Damien gave the final ultimatum. Ray had no choice but

to swallow back his words. After he left, Damien‘s mind went elsewhere and he couldn’t focus on work

anymore. Then, the weekend arrived. Clarissa went to the library to look for some research materials

for her article. While she was searching through the shelves, a book written by Dennis Lawrence

caught Clarissa’s attention. The title of the book was ‘Laws and Principles‘. She took it out of the shelf.novelbin

Dennis Lawrence was Damien‘s grandfather. Looking at the book, she was reminded of Grandpa

Lawrence‘s kind, gentle, and knowledgeable disposition. When she was taking the final exam to get

certified as an accountant, Grandpa gave her a lot of tips to pass the exam. Her eyes turned red with

tears at the thought of him.

She flipped to the last page of the book, and saw the author‘s picture and a short introduction to his

profile. ‘Dennis Lawrence graduated from Harvard and is Genovia‘s famous scholar in the field of civil

and commercial law. He is also an expert in the field of economic and maritime laws.‘ The book had

only written down Grandpa‘s birth date, but it did not state his death. It had been a few years since

Grandpa‘s passing. Looking at his biography, Clarissa couldn‘t help but think of Grandpa‘s kind smile. If

he was still alive, Clarissa would have a lot to talk to him about.

She missed him dearly. Thinking about him, Clarissa borrowed all the books written by Grandpa.
