Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 359

Chapter 359 I’ll Give You a Reason to Never Come Back The man’s business car sped away soon

enough. It was clear that their license plate was a fake

one.

Clarissa had a feeling she had just met up with one of the major mafia organizations. She couldn’t help

but shiver once more. “Clarissa, are you alright?” Lily jogged over to her side. “Who’s that guy? What

does he want from you?”

She even studied Clarissa up and down. Her clothes were still intact, which meant the conversation just

now went well.

“Ah. It was nothing. We talked about Connie, that’s all.” Clarissa folded her armis in front of her chest

while shivering. “I want to go home as soon as possible.” “Okay.” After that, Lily flagged down a cab,

On the way home, Clarissa thought about a lot of things. Originally, she couldn’t decide on the matter of

her flying overseas because of Damien. Now, she had no choice but to leave.

It was true that the man’s organization could do anything they wanted. They were strong in the dark, as

if they were rats scuttling about in the maze of sewers. They could pop out anytime they wanted to,

bringing destruction in their wake. For example, Clarissa’s grandmother was dead because of them. If

Damien fought people like them, he would only be wasting a huge chunk of his time. At the same time,

it would tarnish his reputation,

Clarissa didn’t want him to suffer this way.

However, she couldn’t say anything to him,

“By the way, Lily, don’t tell Damien about what happened tonight. Otherwise, you’d be triggering

another bloodbath in my household.” Clarissa exaggerated the consequences so that Lily would pay a

great deal of attention to her warning. As expected, that was what Lily did. She nodded, agreeing with

Clarissa. When Clarissa got home, it was already nine o’clock.

“You just came back?” Damien sat on the couch in the bedroom while gazing at Clarissa. He looked

quite displeased.

“Yup.”

“What did you do?”

“I got to know some people from the film industry. Their wives are super amazing, you know? All of

them have at least a master’s degree and can control their husbands’ every move. I also want to do the

same thing to you,” Clarissa said.

“You don’t have to do that.”

“For now, you mean. What about in the future?” “We’ll talk about it when that time comes,” Damien

replied dismissively.

Clarissa was silent for a moment before she said, “I want to further my studies in Emmeria I’ve already

received an offer letter from the university.”

Damien narrowed his eyes. After that, he said very seriously, ‘So, you‘ve set everything up just to talk

about this again? I won’t let you go there.”

Clarissa knew that her request would be turned down, but she never expected Damien to sound so

decisive.

“I can make arrangements for you if you want to work now.” Damien’s tone sostened up.

“Neil’s still very young right now, so he doesn’t really need me…” “If you left, he wouldn’t need you ever

again in his life!” Damien snapped back. “I’ve already arranged for Mom and Dad to return to Amestris.

You don’t have to probe for answers from me anymore!”

Damien hoped that what Clarissa said was only a way for her to probe for information in hopes to get

him to move his parents back to Amestris.

He desperately wished she didn’t make up her mind to abandon both father and son for the sake of her

studies in a foreign country. Clarissa’s brows were tangled together. “You’ve misunderstood me. It’s not

because of them. Didn’t I tell you a long time ago about my application to further my studies? I think

this is a perfect opportunity.”

“Never talk to me about this matter ever again.” Damien issued the final ultimatum. “Either you stay

here obediently, or you leave and never come back again. I’m a man of my word.”

The moment he was done speaking, Damien got up and headed to the bathroom.

Clarissa went quiet for a moment. “Fine!” “What?” Damien froze in his steps.

“I… I won’t ever come back again!” Clarissa could feel her heart sinking the moment her words fellnovelbin

Damien’s words were like water spilt out of a bucket. Whatever he said was irreversible.

He turned around to stare at Clarissa. “Did my words give you a reason to never come back?” he

asked darkly.
