Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 356

Chapter 356 Is It Necessary for you to Look This Pretty? After dinner, Damien played with Neil

downstairs while Clarissa returned to her room. She turned on the computer and looked up the hiring

requirements of New East Corporation on the internet The search engine came back with the results

she needed.

New East Corporation was already a large-scale company to begin with, so the hiring requirements

were plastered everywhere on the official site as well as other large-scale recruitment sites. The audit

department planned to hire ten accountants this year. They wanted candidates who had a master’s

degree, accumulated work experience of ten years or more, an official accounting license, and ample

experience in auditing large-scale projects.

Clarissa’s heart went stone cold once she read the requirements.

Back when she handed her resume over to Lucas in the audit department, she was still a greenhorn.

Also, she had yet to obtain her accounting license. All she wanted was a job as someone’s assistant.

Now that Patrick and Vanessa were at home all the time, Clarissa wanted to use this opportunity to fly

to Emmeria

That night, Clarissa found it hard to focus on whatever she was doing

When Damien returned to the room, he noticed how dumb and silent Clarissa looked, so he couldn’t

help but ask, “What are you spacing out for? Who are you thinking about?”

“You,” Clarissa replied without much thoughts

“Me?” The corners of Damien’s lips rose. Clearly, he didn’t believe her answer.

“Other than you, who else can I think about?”

Damien sat next to Clarissa and planted a kiss on her cheek. “Are you thinking about me or a certain

body part of mine?”

He would always say such lewd things to Clarissa in a straightforward manner. There were times when

she was already embarrassed, which served as an encouragement for him to continue engaging in

dirty talk with her instead of calling it a day.

“That part!” Clarissa extended her hand toward Damien. “I want to crush that part!”

He whispered into her ear, “If it’s crushed, I won’t be able to use it. It’s fine if we can’t have any more

children. I’m just worried about your future happiness.”

Clarissa stomped Damien on his foot. “Get lost!”

The next afternoon, Clarissa looked at herself in the full-body mirror. She was wearing a black puffy

dress with spaghetti straps that could be used as a formal gown and a casual dress. The dress style

wouldn’t clash with either occasion at all.

She even put on light makeup.

Damien sat on the couch behind her with his legs crossed. He placed his hand under his chin as

he studied Clarissa’s appearance. “Do I look okay?” she asked. “Is it necessary for you to look this

pretty just to go out with Lily?” A flash of displeasure streaked past Damien’s eyes. “I’m not dressing up

for her.” “Then who are you dressing up for?” Damien pressed on.

“Nobody. I just want to doll up and look good in order to feel happy, that’s all. I’m leaving now.” After

that, Clarissa grabbed her bag and left the room.

Since she wasn’t working for the time being, she spent most of her time being cooped up at home

Hence, she had the need to go out once in a while to take a breather.

When Clarissa crossed the living room, she happened to notice Vanessa cooing at Neil in her arms.

Patrick was in the midst of exiting one of the rooms at the back

Clarissa greeted Vanessa hurriedly before leaving the mansion When Vanessa noticed Damien going

down the stairs, she asked, “Damien, is Clarissa going out?”

“Yup,” he replied

Vanessa went silent after that,

Clarissa dropped by the post office to mail the pearl necklace off to Connie’s address. She

remembered Cindy telling her that they were still living in the same house where the fire had happened.

The insurance company had made a huge compensation to their landlord, who then waived the rent for

Connie and her family.

After making the delivery, Clarissa headed over to New East Corporation’s dorms and picked Lily up.

Then, they flagged down a cab and set their destination as Ornate Square

“Clarissa, I heard from Landon that Mr. Lawrence’s parents are living with you guys right now. Are younovelbin

alright? Many women tend to be depressed at a time like this. Plus, you’re also haunted by your mom’s

incident. When are they going home?” Lily started complaining

“I don’t know. Every day, I’m constantly standing on thin ice because of them. I don’t even dare to

trigger them emotionally. As their son, Damien can’t say anything as well. Now that they have a

grandson, if we chased them out of our house instead of letting them spend time with him, that’d be an

outrageous thing to do, right?” Clarissa lamented. “Today, we’ll be attending a banquet hosted by a

movie company. See if you can convince them to plug Landon’s game into their movie. I think this will

be a difficult mission, so stay focused.” Lily nodded solemnly.
