Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 354

Chapter 354 Unexpected Loss After Penelope walked out of the living room in Damien’s mansion, she

went to the courtyard.

Just then, Mrs. Faber was spotted carrying a heavy box out of the garage.

Penelope was surprised to see that box. It was the box of items she had bought for Clarissa, so she

could recognize it.

Mrs. Faber looked like she was having a hard time carrying it, so it was obvious there were things

inside the box. Also, the original seal was still on the box, which meant the items within were never

used before.

Penelope couldn’t help but grit her teeth in anger. She went through so much effort just to pick out the

perfect items for Clarissa, only to be disregarded by the latter

Penelope had already promised Clarissa that she wouldn’t do anything to the items she gifted her, but

the latter refused to believe her.

“Mr. Moore, please give me a moment I accidentally left my lipstick back in the living room,” she piped

up all of a sudden.

After that, she returned to the living room.

Mrs. Faber was the one who opened the door for her.

The first thing Penelope saw was Clarissa and Damien making out on the couch.

Damien’s arm was wrapped around Clarissa’s waist, a mischievous smile curled on his lips. He

seemed to be saying something to her. As for the latter, she kept blushing and playing coy with her

man

The pearl necklace was already absent from her neck.

“Ah! Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence, I can’t seem to find my lipstick. Did I leave it on the couch?” Penelope

asked. After that, she started looking for the missing lipstick by sticking her fingers through the gaps of

the couch

Damien kept staring at her the whole time.

“Darn it, I can’t find it at all! I’m so sorry for ruining your intimate moment! Curses! I really should be

careful. Goodbye then, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence!” After that, Penelope quickly spun on her heel and left

while looking very apologetic. As she walked out of the main entrance, she felt a wave of fury hitting

her.

It was true Penelope wanted to please both Damien and Clarissa, but there was nothing wrong with her

gifts! Why did Clarissa feel the need to humiliate her in such a way?

“Has my precious grandson woken up yet?” Patrick’s voice drifted from his room at this time.

Clarissa’s expression cruinbled immediately. She didn’t mean to do that; her smile dropped into a frown

subconsciously. She even gritted her teeth.

Originally, she wanted to wait for her baby to wake up before visiting him… “I’m tired, so I’m heading

upstairs first.” After that, Clarissa shot up and made a beeline to her bedroom on the second floor.

She had a feeling that Patrick and Vanessa had na plans to return to their own home. They were in the

midst of establishing a relationship with Neil. Once that relationship was formed, it was impossible to be

severed nor given up on.

Damien wanted to head upstairs as well, but someone knocked on the door all of a sudden

It was Landon.

He looked very depressed. The moment his eyes laid on Damien, he looked like he finally found a

haven to vent his grievances and frustrations on.

“Mr Lawrence…” The moment Landon uttered Damien’s name, his eyes started welling up with tears

“What can possibly make a man look so aggrieved?” Damien asked after plopping down on the couch.

“You have no idea what happened, Mr Lawrence “Landon said with his head bowed. “It was previously

confirmed that Rhythmic Technology wanted to sponsor ‘Manor for the Marquis,’ but for some reason,

the movie company suddenly announced the terinination of their collaboration with Rhythmic

Technology! The game my company was working on with Rhythmic Technology was supposed to be

inserted into that movie as a product placement, but now it’s all over! Your investment…”

“Rhythmic Technology’s definitely more anxious than you right now. Just wait for the good news.”

Damien wasn’t easily flustered unlike Landon.novelbin

The thing was, ten million dollars was nothing to Damien. It wasn’t like he couldn’t afford to lose that

amount of money.

“It was supposed to be a confirmed deal! Our game was supposed to go viral, but now, even getting

back our net costs is a problem!” Landon clutched his head in desperation. “I’m so sorry for dragging

you into this mess, Mr. Lawrence!”

“It’s fine.” Damien found it odd as well. He had been dabbling in the business industry for so long. so

how was it possible for him to lose this amount of money so unexpectedly
