Chapter 194 Spoiling Her

The delivery man texted Clarissa to pick up the package he left at the front desk

Clarissa’s shopping app showed that Damien’s underwear had arrived, so she went down excitedly to

pick up the package.

“Is there a delivery for me?” Clarissa asked the receptionist with a glowing face. The receptionist

looked to the side and pointed to Clarissa.

Clarissa followed her gaze, and saw Damien sitting on the couch over there and talking to someone

else. When he saw Clarissa, he frowned a little.

Clarissa stuck out her tongue at him. She left like a student who happily skipped class to shop, only to

run into her homeroom teacher.

When she was leaving, Damien waved at her and gestured for her to approach him.

There was a stranger sitting across Damien.

“What did you buy?” Damien glanced at Clarissa. Clarissa was embarrassed to tell him what the

delivery was in front of an outsider, so she said, “I don’t know. I’ll have to open it.”

“Okay. You can go.”

Clarissa went back up happily,

“Is that Mrs. Lawrence?” the stranger asked Damien.

Damien laughed a little. “Yeah. I spoiled her too much.”

“She’s a cheery and beautiful person, no doubt. Moving on, the land is a done deal. I’ll send the

contract to you some other time,” the stranger said.

“Sure.”

When Damien returned to his office, he found Clarissa standing in front of his desk with her back facing

him.

“You’re back! Do you want to try it on?” Clarissa had already opened up the package and held the

underwear in her hand. Her eyes were sparkling.

Damien glanced at the underwear she was holding, and casually lit a cigarette.

“So, is this study time or underwear time?”

Clarissa’s smile faded at once. She returned to her seat and went to read her book.

Damien also returned to his desk. He called Ray on the internal phone and told the latter to come up to

his office and teach Claire

Clarissa thought sullenly, Jeez, he’s so possessive! He won’t even let the teacher come here while he’s

away for just a bit. How much does he hate Joseph for his ambiguous

relationship with me? He held a grudge against Joseph, but he hasn’t said anything.’

Clarissa suddenly remembered that the underwear was still on the desk. She went over in a hurry and

had forgotten to put it away. It would be embarrassing if Ray saw it.

She immediately stood up, but Damien frowned at her. “What are you doing?”

“Sit down and study.”

Clarissa could only sit down’ resentfully. Fine, then. If Ray saw the underwear, Damien would be the

one embarrassed.

When Ray came up, he asked, “What happened to Clarissa just now?”

He glanced over, and saw the underwear Clarissa had placed on the desk.

Ray knew the story of Clarissa buying new underwear for Damien, so he said, “Okay, I understand. It’s

inappropriate for an outsider to watch!”

He was probably thinking that Damien was changing his underwear in the room. Clarissa wanted to

refute Ray, but she found it to be a pointless endeavour.

The class today was slightly short. After the class, Clarissa got into Damien’s car.

“D&C is buying land. Do you want to hear about it?” he asked Clarissa.

“Hm? What?” Clarissa was puzzled.

“I mentioned it last time, didn’t l?”

Clarissa could not remember. “Last time? What did we talk about last time?”

Was it the time Madelynn gave him a watch, or a shirt?

Damien gritted his teeth. “About opening a company! Sigh… Never mind. You don’t care at all! I’m justnovelbin

thinking too much.”

Hearing him use such harsh words, Clarissa felt a little guilty. Suddenly, she remembered the

conversation they had before.

“I thought you were just joking around.”

“When did I ever say it was a joke?” Damien asked, annoyed.

Clarissa remained silent, feeling sorry for herself. While she was down in the dumps, her WhatsApp

notification grabbed her attention. She opened it, and saw a text from Lily.

Lily had sent her a photo of Landon holding a cute child.

Lily: (How’s that?]

Clarissa: (This kid is so cute! I want to kiss him. Let’s visit him this Saturday.]

The four-month-old baby was the son of Lily’s sister, and he was just starting to learn to

toll over

Lily’s sister helped Clarissa to defend herself from the fake bag incident with Nicole, co Clarissa was

After agreeing to meet Lily, Clarissa turned her head to Damien and asked him for a day off.

“I want to see Lily’s nephew this Saturday afternoon. After that, I’ll go back to my mom’s place. I won’t

be back that night. Is that okay, hubby?”

Clarissa was afraid Damien wouldn’t agree. After all, he didn’t like her staying overnight outside.

Surprisingly, Damien was kind and agreed. “Go ahead.”
