Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 160

Chapter 160 She’s A Feisty Cat

Clarissa boarded the bus, her mind buzzing with worry.

It seemed like Connie had tricked both her and Joseph.

When she returned home, the lights were still on. However, Clarissa didn’t see her mother,

Clarissa called out to Theresa, but nobody answered her.

Swinging open her bedroom door, she saw Damien sitting on the chair in her room.

Clarissa had expected it. ‘He must be aware of what happened today.‘

Strangely enough, she didn’t see his car downstairs just now. Where had he parked his car?

Since he drove here, he probably arrived here way earlier than Clarissa, who had boarded the bus.

From the looks of it, Damien was here to give her a ‘surprise’.

Shocked, she tried to close the door and rush outside. Before she could do that, Damien wrapped his

hand around her waist and threw her on the bed.

He pressed his body to hers.

“Where did you go that day?” he interrogated Clarissa with a cold voice.

“Where’s my mom?”

“I’m asking you. What did you do with Joseph that night?” He raised his voice and lifted her chin

forcefully.

“Where’s my mom?!” Clarissa raised her voice as well, not backing down.

Worried about her mother’s well-being, she glared at him.

She thought about Damien’s cruel nature, and a horrible thought shot to her mind. ‘What exactly did he

do to my mom? Is she okay?’

“What did you do with him at the hotel that day?”

“It’s none of your business!” Noticing that he wasn’t answering her question, she burst into anger and

turned to the other side.

Agitated, he felt that she needed to know her place.

After an intense bout on the bed, Damien stood in front of Clarissa’s mirror and looked into his

reflection. Still naked, he looked at his back and neck.

“What a feisty cat you are!” He said through gritted teeth.

Clarissa, who was breathing deeply on the bed, closed her eyes as she rested.

“Where’s my mom?” Clarissa asked again.

“Is your vocabulary limited?” Damien demanded, furious.

Annoyed, Clarissa closed her eyes, refusing to utter another word.

After tying his shoes, he turned to Clarissa and forced her chin up again. He softened his tone and

asked,” Did you sleep with him?”

Damien looked unsettled, worried that he had lost his prey to another predator.

Clarissa tried to turn her head, but Damien forced her to look at him again.

“Did you sleep with him?” he asked again.

He was expecting a ‘no’ from her. Based on his intuition, Clarissa didn’t do it with Joseph at all.

“What do you think? What else do couples do in a hotel? Do you think we’re there to chit-chat?”

Clarissa opened her eyes and glared at him again. “Where the fuck is my mom?”

It was already ten at night, but her mother still wasn’t home yet.

Normally, Theresa would be in bed at this hour.

A foreboding sensation stirred within Clarissa.

“You’re lying!” Damien let go of her chin.

“Where’s my mom, Damien?!” Clarissa roared, sitting up angrily.novelbin

The sheets slid down her chest and revealed a huge part of her fair skin.

At this point, Clarissa couldn’t care less.

Right at this moment, the door clicked and someone entered the house.

Clarissa heard Theresa’s voice, and knew that her mother had come back home.

“Mom! Where were you?” Clarissa asked with a raised voice.

“Damien wanted me to have dinner at a restaurant just now. Afterward, his driver brought me to the

mall to shop for some clothes. I didn’t want to, but…” Theresa sounded happy and worried at the same

time.

No wonder Clarissa didn’t see Damien’s car just now! The driver had left with Theresa right after

Damien arrived.

Hearing her mother’s voice, Clarissa felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Still, she

glared at Damien and shouted, “You and your petty tricks!”

“You’d better pray my injuries are recovered by tomorrow. If not, I’ll make your life hell.” Then, he left

the room

Theresa and Damien were chatting in the living room outside, but Clarissa couldn’t hear what they

were talking about.

Exhausted, she fell asleep.

The next day, she found herself waking up in Damien’s arms.

She turned around immediately and tried to move away. The way she acted was as if she had come

into contact with something dirty.

However, he tightened his grip around her body and pulled her toward him.

As their bodies stuck together, warmth spread to Clarissa’s body instantly.

This time, she would never forgive Damien.

Now that things had come to this point, Clarissa didn’t know who Damien was to her anymore. She

couldn’t read his actions, and the things he did were just terrifying. Perhaps Damien thought he could

do anything using his wealth and status in society, even going as far as to tarnish Joseph’s reputation

with a sex scandal.

Another thought rose to Clarissa’s mind. What exactly was Damien talking about that day they argued

in the office? Clearly, they weren’t on the same page at the start of the argument.

Before, the reason she saved him was out of instinct.

If another situation arose, she wouldn’t save him, no matter what
