Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 112

Chapter 112 President Lawrence Was Boasting About Their Relationship Clarissa was in a good mood.

She woke up early the next day to prepare breakfast for Damien. On this day, she purposely prepared

a meal meant for two people. She seared a fish and split it in hall, one hall for each of them. She also

stir-fried some shrimp and sautéed some vegetables. Finally, she made risotto for Damien again. He

was the president of a company and was always busy, and he was a man. It was only natural for him to

eat more.

When Damien came downstairs for breakfast, he saw the lunchboxes on the dining table.

“Are you going to bluff me again this time?” he asked.

“No, I’m not, We’re having the same thing.” Clarissa opened the lunchboxes and showed him.

Damien didn’t say anything. He was very satisfied. After some thought, Clarissa asked, “Where did you

and Madelynn go the other day? When she ale the food I cooked, I mean,”

“It was the anniversary of her father’s death.”

“Oh.” She felt extremely disappointed.

It just so happened that the anniversary of Steven’s death was on the same day. She had never

mentioned it to Damien before, so she should have expected him to accompany his true love on a trip

to Florin instead of being by her side. “Why do you ask?”

“It’s nothing.” She looked up and forced out a smile

“Oh, right. I want to return the clothes you got me the other day. They’re too slamboyant for my taste,

and they’re much too expensive.” She asked, “What do you think?”

“Go on.l’li get someone to pick them up.” Damien answered. His acquisition of the mall was in the

works, and it wasn’t likely to have any hiccups.

However, there was one thing that neither of them mentioned. Joseph was involved in the purchase of

the clothes, and they weren’t comfortable with that.

“No, it’s fine. I can return them on my own and do some shopping at the same time.” Clarissa still

wasn’t used to having someone run errands for her.

“Also, you said it yourself yesterday-you brought his book and notes back. Where have you hidden

them?” As Damien ate breakfast, he asked Clarissa.

Clarissa was wondering why he hadn’t been mad when she’d brought it up, and here he was,

demanding an answer. He never missed a thing. She was like a wilted plant. “The notes are in my

office, and the book’s in my luggage.” “Alright.” Damien nodded in acknowledgment.

He would deal with it later, depending on his mood.

This was what he was best at-making Clarissa anxious.

When they got to the company, Howard secretly told Clarissa that she was getting a pay raise of 3.000

dollars.

“3,000 dollars.” She was surprised. Damien had told her he would give her 2,000 dollars the nightnovelbin

before

“Pasident Lawrence wanted to give you 2,000 dollars, but I sought tooth and nail to get you an extra

thousand. You worked hard at New East Mall, and you’ve helped me a lot after getting promoted,”

Howard said cheerily.

“Thank you, Director Brooks,” Clarissa said, trying to sound sincere. Clarissa had been working here

for half a year, and she pretty much knew what Howard was like. New East Corporation didn’t belong to

him, nor could he call the shots when it came to the company’s finances. He could say whatever he

wanted to make himself look good. She figund she would use the extra thousand to buy something for

Damien. Since she was going to return the clothes the next day, she would look around for something

as well.

At noon, Clarissa took out her lunchbox and got ready to eat. She felt happy at the thought of Dainien

eating at the same time.

They were eating the same seared fish. She suddenly thought of something that Madelynn had once

said that she and Damien seemed to be severed, but were actually still connected. Did that also apply

to herself and Damien now? He was eating one half of the fish, while she was eating the other.

At the thought of this connection, a feeling of sweetness filled Clarissa’s heart.

However, the sweetness was always followed by a wave of sorrow.

While she was eating dazedly, her colleagues started whispering excitedly.

“President Lawrence actually posted something on his Instagram. It’s his first post!”

“I don’t follow him. What did he post?” This piqued Clarissa’s interest. She grabbed her phone to see

what he’d posted.

There was only one photo on his profile of the lunch box that Clarissa had prepared for him. It had to

be said that Damien’s photography skills weren’t half bad. He’d managed to make a normal lunch box

look like something out of a culinary magazine. Of course, this was also due to Clarin’s culinary slulls

He had an abundance of delicious food, all thanks to her.

This was why Clarisa hadn’t asked Mrs Faber to do the cooking on her behalf. Firstly, Mrs. Faber had

never done this before, and Clarissa wouldn’t add to the former’s burden. Secondly, Clarissa’s sense of

accomplishment was much greater when Damien was happy with the food she had personally cooked

At this moment, she felt very accomplished She smiled, thinking that perhaps Damien felt embarrassed

by the bread rolls and coleslaw from the day before He was probably posting this photo to

showeveryone that it had been a mistake

Naturally, Clarissa wanted to stroke his ego and so commented on his post.

Clarissa: [You took the wrong lunch box yesterday. That wasn’t meant for you.) Ai leust this would save

him from the previous day’s humiliation, Some colleagues walked past Clarissa, and one of them said,

“My, President Lawrence is having one half of the fish while Clarissa’s having the other. They’re so

loving!”

“Yeah, President Lawrence was even boasting about it.” “You’re right!” As Clarissa listened to them

speak, she felt that something so sweet sounded so bitter and jealous when it came from their mouths,

She ate in silence, unable to suppress her happiness.
