Liberty watched the situation indifferently.
Jessica was faking it, yet Hank could not see through it?
Perhaps it was because Hank was concerned about Jessica and her baby.
Soon, Hank left with Jessica by car.

Liberty and Duncan wished Hank could quickly leave.

“Sonny, Jess isn’t feeling well, and your dad is worried about her. He had to send her to the hospital fora check-up, and that’s why he can’t play with you. It’s not because he doesn’t want to play with you orhe doesn’t love you.”
Duncan’s lips twitched. He felt that Hank did not love Sonny dearly.
Hank loved Jessica and her baby more.
That woman was obviously putting on a pretense.

“There’s a baby in Jess’s stomach. She said it was uncomfortable. Your dad was worried that the babywas not well, so he quickly took Jess to the hospital.”

Duncan patted Sonny’s head and said to him, “Your dad is too busy to play with you, but I have plentyof free time. Let me play with you.”

Liberty turned her eyes to Duncan. “Mr. Lewis, don’t you need to attend any social function?”
“Not tonight.”
Duncan carried Sonny and said to Liberty, “Come on. Let’s go in.”
With that, he walked into the playground with Sonny in his arms before Liberty could turn him down.
Liberty silently watched Duncan carry Sonny into the playground. After some time, she sighed and hadno choice but to follow them in.
“Sonny, where should we play? I’m not sure about the way. You need to guide me.”

Sonny immediately felt as though he was entrusted with an important task. He pointed to the elevatorand said, “Dunc, we’ll go to the third floor.”
