Chapter 5

Judith wanted to leave. She still had things to do, but the nurse asked her to pay attention to the man’sstate. She saved him, so she couldn’t leave until the man’s family came.novelbin

Judith waited and fell asleep on the bed. Frank opened his eyes slightly on the bed. He looked aroundwith his deep eyes and discovered that he was in the hospital. Suddenly, his phone rang, and theringtone let out. When Frank heard the noisy sound, he knitted his sharp browns in a bad mood.

Judith heard the familiar ringtone and took out the phone from the backpack on her knees. Sheanswered the phone without looking up. “Eric.” She just woke up, so her voice sounded a little hoarse.“Mom, it’s Emily.” His daughter’s displeased voice came from the phone. “Emily, what’s wrong?” Judithsobered up a little. “We’re here. Emily, don’t worry.” Judith listened to her daughter’s words and softlyhummed. After hanging up the phone, Judith felt that her arms were numb and stretched herself. Whenshe looked up, she suddenly saw that the man on the bed had woken up. She frowned slightly andslowly stood up. Her tone was indifferent and distant. “Sir, you are awake. I should go. Call your family tolook after you!” “Did you save me?” Frank’s voice was low and deep, and he looked imposing. He lookedat the beautiful woman in front of him. Her hair was brown and curly. Her face looked delicate and tender. Her eyes were big and clear, like orchids in the valley. She smelt good, but her white dress was stainedwith blood. Frank had seen all kinds of women, but he had never seen such a pure and beautiful womanlike her. But why did her eyes look so familiar? “Sir, it was the doctor who saved you. I just called anambulance and came here with the ambulance. Goodbye!” Judith looked at the time. It was already pastsix o’clock. She was going to be late for Eric’s piano competition, so she did not care about Frank’sunfriendly attitude. She turned around and left in a hurry. Frank stared at the woman who was leavingwithout hesitation. His mouth curled up into a cold smile. Never had a woman ignored him before. Thewoman’s answer was quite interesting. When Judith took the elevator, a handsome man in a suit wentupstairs through the elevator in a hurry.

Judith looked at her phone. It was already past six o’clock. She glanced at the address her son had senther and she smiled. Her son’s competition was about to start, so she had to hurry up. “Frank, you arehere. I’ve searched half of the hospital in Mayfield.” Gary panted as he looked at Frank, who was lying onthe bed with an indifferent expression. “Someone did something to the brakes. Go back and investigateit.” Frank said coldly and angrily. His deep eyes flashed with a trace of bloodlust, and a chill suddenlyspread through the room. Gary nodded with a solemn expression. “I’m sorry, sir. I left something here.”Judith ran back, panting. Frank smiled mockingly. Was this woman playing hard to get? Judith left thehospital and found that she left her handkerchief in the ward. She lowered her head and looked aroundanxiously. It was a gift from her daughter and was very important to her. “No!” Judith was so anxious thatshe patted her forehead. She remembered that she had been holding it in her hand all this time.

She quickly kneeled on the ground and searched under the hospital bed, but she didn’t find it.
