Chapter 116

The unbearable sour taste made Adam’s ears buzz. Adam had never eaten anything so sour in his entirelife. Judith could not help but laugh when she saw the expression on Adam’s face. This sour taste wasnot something that everyone could endure. Adam spat out the candy, grabbed the beer on the table, andtook a big gulp. The sour taste in his mouth finally lessened a lot. Adam raised his eyes and looked likehe was about to cry. He frowned and stared at Judith with a painful look. “Judy, are you still human? Howcan you stand such a sour thing? You even carry it on you around.”

Judith smiled brightly and said mischievously, “You joked around with me. This is the least severepunishment for you. This is a lemon-flavored super sour candy, I usually eat it when I work overtime.”When Adam heard her first sentence, he felt sad, but when he heard Judith’s second sentence, his heartinstantly ached. He knew that Judith had been working very hard for the past seven years. In just a fewyears, she had been promoted to design director, and she had earned it. Adam looked at Judith andsuddenly said in a distressed voice, “Silly, such a sour thing is not good for the stomach. Don’t eat itagain. If you are sleepy, you can call me. I will burn the midnight oil with you.” Adam met Judith. After shecame out of her sorrow, she had always been diligent and hardworking, with a strong ambition and highcomprehension, Over the past few years, the two of them had been learning from each other and spent alot of time together, allowing Adam to understand her thoroughly. Judith raised her eyebrows and lookedat Adam. Her soft hair danced in the night breeze. Her delicate facial features were beautiful and lively.Judith’s smile was graceful and gentle. “Adam, you’re very busy every day. I’m used to burning themidnight oil, and once I eat this lemon-flavored candy, I immediately become spirited. My inspiration alsoimproves. “I really don’t know what to do with you.” Adam took a deep breath and looked at her, deeplyconcerned. “I wonder when you’ll change your stubborn personality. You say nothing when you’re tired, and you endure it when wronged. Judy, your life is too hard.” Adam spoke from the bottom of his heart.Judy really didn’t have itnovelbin

easy. Adam and his sister felt sorry for Judith. Judith smiled gratefully. Adam was a good friend. “Adam, you don’t have to worry about me. I’m fine, Raising a child is the most strenuous. However, Lucas, Eric, and Emily have been good. Also, Mother has taken good care of us. And I have you and Alissa. Rightnow, I’m living the happiest life.” The past few years were the happiest years of Judith’s life, When Adamheard this, he smiled helplessly, but his heart ached a little. Did Judith think he didn’t know her? Thebitterness in her heart, the hatred that arose after Judith had been set up, and the pain she had sufferedin the Cooper family, were all suppressed. Adam had seen her cry alone in the night several times, buthe always watched from a distance and stayed silently with her.. Adam would only leave after Judith wastired from crying and went back to sleep Adam was about to speak when the waiter brought over thedishes they had ordered, so Adam held back the words he had been about to say, “Judy, eat. They tastedelicious when they’re warm.” Adam pushed the seafood porridge to Judith. “Okay. Adam, you havesome too.” Judith smiled.
