Judith gazed at Adam for awhile with her clear eyes and said, “Adam, it’s not that you are coming with me this time, but you have to.Don’t tell me you really want to stay in Mayfield.” Adam elegantly picked up a piece of fish with a fork.After eating it, he slowly said with a smile, “Judy, I’ve said it before. Wherever you are, I will be there. Ifyou go to Mayfield, I will go with you.” His voice was faint, while it sounded serious and firm.
Judith paused for a moment. Deep gratitude rose in her heart. “Adam, if you’re going to work there, younaturally have to stay. But if you stay for me, that would be too much for me. You shouldn’t do that!”Judith and Adam never hid anything from each other. Judith had never given Adam any hint that shewould have a feeling for him. Judith had raised three children by herself, and she didn’t want to hinderAdam from looking for his soul mate.
