The room sunk into silence.
Michael literally hated Chris' guts.
He was putting them in an awkward spot.
Michael then lowered his voice and said, "Chris, it's our bad. Please forgive us."
Chris then waved his hand, "Well, you don't have to apologize to me. You got to apologize to my
parents-in-laws."
Michael turned around and apologized to Susan, "Susan, it's dad's fault. Please forgive me. Do you
want to sever ties with me?"
"I …"
Susan didn't know what to say.
Though Michael was merciless before, they were blood related.
She really couldn't bring herself to end everything with Michael.
Susan couldn't help sobbing when she remembered how indifferent Michael was before.
"Dad, you went too far before. I'm your daughter! How can you kick me out? Growing up, you always
favored Laurence and never cared about me …"
Michael looked embarrassed when he heard Susan's words.
"It's all my fault! I'm sorry."
Michael then glared at Laurence and Loretta.
"Apologize to Susan right now!"
Laurence and Loretta then apologized immediately.
"Susan, I'm sorry. Please give me another chance!"
"Aunt Susan, we are wrong. Please don't be mad!"
They had no choice but to give in at this point.
Susan got soft-hearted after hearing the apologies.
But she remained silent as she didn't know what to say.
Michael was awkward when he didn't hear anything from Susan.
They were like fish out of water.
Esther then poked Chris with her hand.
Chris then said, "Well, since my mom has forgiven you. We'll just forget all about this."
"Thank you!"
Michael was relieved and hurriedly said.
"But remember, this can never happen again! Or I will let you pay!"
Chris stared at Michael and said indifferently.
Michael was scared by Chris' words, especially by his cold-blooded eyes.
He knew that he would be doomed if he dared to pull this off again.
Chris didn't really plan on doing anything to the Collins family.
After all, Michael was Susan's father and Esther's grandpa.
They wouldn't learn from this if he didn't teach them a lesson.
They would know how to behave after this.
In the next second, Chris' phone started ringing.
Chris picked up the call and his face immediately darkened.
"What happened?"
Esther wondered when she saw Chris' expression.
Chris stood up and said coldly, "Felix kidnapped Henry and they are now at the top of the Chester
Group building."
"What?"
John and Esther were dumbfounded.
Nobody expected Felix to be so out of his mind.
Chris looked at John and said, "Dad, Felix asked you to be there. If you don't go there, he will push
Henry off the building."

Esther was in disbelief, "How can he do this?"
Chris sneered and answered, "Felix was at the end of his rope now. He's lost everything. There is
nothing he wouldn't dare to do at this point. I figure he was using Henry as leverage to get money out
of dad."
