Chapter 703

Chapter 703

A gunshot rang out.

Wendy Jefferson froze in place.

Her face was slack, devoid of expression.

Droplets of blood fell from her forehead.

At that moment, there was a shocking wound on Wendy Jefferson's forehead.

"Chris..."

Wendy Jefferson stared blankly at Chris, her mind racing with thoughts.

Why did he have a gun?

Why was this gun gold-plated?

Amerosia had strict gun control.

Gold-plated guns were even more strictly forbidden!

This was because this color was exclusive to the royal family!

What was even more terrifying was that the person who pulled out the gun was none other than the

ever-obsequious Tiger who had been following him all along.

Who was he, really?

Before she could finish her thoughts, Wendy Jefferson lost her strength and collapsed to the ground.

Her eyes widened as the color slowly faded from her gaze.

In the moments before Wendy Jefferson's death, scenes from her past flashed through her mind.

She was born privileged, the daughter of Middleton's Jefferson family.

She could have lived a life of luxury.

But all of that changed after she met Chris.

In the end, Wendy Jefferson left this world, filled with resentment and unwillingness.

Tiger blew the smoke from the gun barrel.

Looking at Wendy Jefferson's body, he sneered, "You thought you could kill the Master? Younovelbin

overestimate yourself!"

Chris looked at Wendy Jefferson's body, his eyes showing no emotion.

He had already given Wendy Jefferson a chance to live.

But she had not cherished it.

"Let's go!"

With a sigh, Chris didn't linger. He left with Tiger.

Tim Jefferson, still writhing in pain on the ground, stared at Wendy Jefferson's body, his face filled with

indescribable horror.

This mere son-in-law was so ruthless?

Even the top overseas assassin he had once met didn't have the same aura of malevolence as Chris!

What Tim Jefferson didn't know was that the big shot in his eyes, the top overseas assassin, had once

knelt before Chris for three days and three nights, begging to join Chris's death squad!

Ignoring the pain in his body, Tim Jefferson bit down on his phone and dialed a number.

"Save me..."

...

After dealing with Henry Jefferson and Wendy Jefferson, Chris took a rare few days off.

He lived the life of a good father and husband at home.

"Honey, you're off work?" Chris walked out of the kitchen, smiling.

"I'm exhausted!" Esther, tired after a long day, lay on the couch, not wanting to move at all.

Chris went over to massage Esther's shoulders, saying, "Just wait a moment, honey. The food will be

ready soon!"

Although they now had a dedicated chef at home, Chris still enjoyed cooking for his wife and daughter

whenever he had time.

This ordinary life, something many people took for granted, was what he had longed for during his five

years on the battlefield.

No matter how many times he experienced it, it was never enough.

"Honey, wait a moment!" As Chris was about to go back into the kitchen, Esther suddenly called out to

him.

"What's the matter, honey?" Chris asked, puzzled.

Esther took a red invitation from her pocket and handed it to him.

"Take a look at this first!"

Chris took the invitation, glanced at it, and his expression changed slightly.

He sighed softly.

What was meant to come had finally arrived!

Esther looked at the expression on Chris's face and teased, "This is from Candace Nance. It's an

invitation to the opening ceremony of the East Coast Nance Group branch office. Should I go?"

Chris didn't answer.
