Chapter 679: Afterward

Chapter 679: Afterward

Afterward, Ben Watson left excitedly. As he watched Ben Watson's departing figure, a cold sneer

appeared at the corner of Candace Nance's mouth.

At the same time, Chris and his friends returned to the East Coast. They didn't go straight back to

Cloud Bay but instead went to the East Coast sanatorium with Tiger and the others.

Inside the white two-story building, Michael Collins was lying in a chair at the entrance, basking in the

sun. Several men in black suits were surrounding him. These men were sent by James Mester to keep

an eye on Michael Collins.

At this moment, Michael Collins had snow-white hair and a face full of wrinkles. He looked extremely

old. The deaths of Laurence Collins and Loretta had been a massive blow to him! Ever since the father

and daughter died, Michael Collins had been monitored 24 hours a day. The man had become a

complete wreck!

"Grandpa, how have you been?" Chris walked over with a smile.

Michael Collins slowly opened his eyes and glanced at Chris, "Don't pretend to be compassionate. Get

out of my sight!"

Michael Collins hated Chris to the bone. After all, he had nothing left now, and Chris couldn't possibly

kill him. Why would he give Chris a good attitude?novelbin

Hearing Michael Collins's words, Chris didn't get angry. He just smiled, "Since you're enjoying the sun

here, I won't disturb you." With that, Chris left with Tiger.

As he watched Chris's departing figure, Michael Collins's eyes revealed a hint of hidden cunning. He

muttered to himself, "That bastard Chris is definitely up to no good. It seems like Henry Jefferson is in

trouble this time!"

Michael Collins knew Chris all too well. Chris was a harbinger of bad luck. Whenever he showed up,

nothing good could happen. He had come to find Henry Jefferson, and Henry Jefferson was bound to

be in trouble!

With this thought, a gleeful look appeared in Michael Collins's eyes. He had fought with Henry

Jefferson for a lifetime. Now that he had fallen into such a sorry state, it seemed that Henry Jefferson

wouldn't fare much better!

In another two-story building, Henry Jefferson's eyelids suddenly twitched. He had a bad feeling in his

heart, as if some misfortune was about to happen.

Just then, the sound of footsteps approached. Henry Jefferson turned his head to look and saw Chris!

Seeing his son-in-law, he trembled as if he had seen a devil, almost stumbling.

"Ha ha ha!" Chris laughed, "Grandpa, how have you been?"

Henry Jefferson forced a smile, "Fine! Fine! What do you want from me?"

His only thought now was to quickly send Chris, the harbinger of bad luck, away!

"Hehe!" Chris laughed lightly and suddenly asked, "Grandpa, have you seen Patrick recently?"

"Patrick?" Hearing this, Henry Jefferson's heart began to pound violently!

What did he mean? Had Chris seen Patrick Jefferson? Impossible! Patrick Jefferson had joined the

Ghost Sect. How could Chris have possibly met him? Even if he had, Chris wouldn't stand a chance

against the Ghost Sect!

Was Chris trying to deceive him today?

In an instant, countless thoughts raced through Henry Jefferson's mind. He took a deep breath and

laughed, "Chris, are you joking? That unfortunate boy Patrick Jefferson was crippled by you long ago

and thrown onto a bridge to beg, wasn't he? How could I have seen him?"

As he spoke, endless resentment surged in Henry Jefferson's heart! If it hadn't been for Chris, his

grandson wouldn't have become a wretched creature caught between life and death!

"Oh? Really?" Chris pretended to be puzzled, "You really haven't seen him? That's strange. How did I

see Patrick Jefferson in the Jefferson village a few days ago? Did I mistake someone else for him?"
