Chapter 1236: Leaving the Ancient Tomb

Victor Yellowbird sighed, "This is my wife, Amy. When I first entered the House of Rainstorms, she was still at Greenleaf Apothecary. But so many years have passed; she must be long gone. I just hope you can help me find her grave and tell her that I failed her all these years."

As he spoke, Victor Yellowbird's eyes grew moist.

Seeing this, Chris Shelby realized that Victor was a man of deep feelings and loyalty.

Chris Shelby nodded, "Alright, I promise you!"Contents belong to NovelDrama.Org

With Chris Shelby's agreement, Victor handed him a scroll.

"Chris Shelby, to express my gratitude, I give you this fragment of the Dragon Emblem. I believe you came here to obtain it."

Victor then pulled out another fragment from his pocket.

Touching the fragment, Victor said with a sigh, "I achieved such high martial arts accomplishments because of this Dragon Emblem fragment! It's useless for me to keep it now; I'd rather give it to you." With that, Victor handed the Dragon Emblem fragment to Chris Shelby.

Chris accepted it with great joy. He had come all this way to obtain this very fragment.

He hadn't expected that after so many hardships, not only would he get the Dragon Emblem fragment, but also many treasures, including Prince Felix's legacy.

"Thank you, senior!" Chris expressed his gratitude as he put away the fragment.

"I don't have much time left! Drop your blood on the black token to receive Prince Felix's legacy. I've guarded this tomb for over a hundred years; I'm exhausted. Now I can finally rest..."

A relieved smile appeared on Victor's face as his body began to fade and become transparent.

Seeing this, Chris knew Victor was about to leave.

Victor had lived until now because of a curse. With his task complete and the curse lifted, he would return to dust and ashes.

For Victor, this might be the best outcome. Staying in the dark tomb for so long was a cruel torment.

Watching Victor's fading body, Chris gritted his teeth and said, "Senior, rest assured. I will deliver your message to your wife, whether she is alive or dead. No matter where her grave is, I will find it!" "Chris Shelby, thank you..."

With those words, Victor's body vanished completely.

A great martial arts Grandmaster had finally left this world!

Chris felt a mix of emotions.

After calming himself down for a while, Chris looked at the black token in his hand.

He bit his finger and let a drop of blood fall onto the token.

Instantly, the token emitted a black light that enveloped Chris entirely.

A flood of information surged into Chris's mind like a tidal wave.

His head felt like it was splitting; he clutched it in agony as his face twisted in pain.

"Ahhh..."

Chris roared in agony before finally passing out.

A few days later, Chris woke up.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying in Jefferson Village's ancestral hall.

"Boss, you're awake!"

Tiger exclaimed with joy upon seeing Chris awake.

Looking at Tiger with confusion, Chris asked, "Tiger, what's going on? How did I end up here?"

Tiger explained, "Boss, you've been

unconscious for three days and

nights! Three days ago, we were

trapped in the House of Rainstorme

when a mysterious force

transported us out. I found you unconscious and brought you here to Jefferson Village."

"Huh?"

Chris was surprised that he had been unconscious for so long and had left the House of Rainstorms so mysteriously.

It seemed that after receiving Prince Felix's legacy, the ancient tomb had fulfilled its purpose.

Chris asked, "What about Daniel Williams and the Abernathy family?"

"Daniel Williams and the Abernathy family have left Jefferson Village. Before leaving, Grayson Abernathy told me he would avenge his father. Daniel Williams looked very upset when he left; probably because he didn't get the Dragon Emblem fragment."

Chris didn't care much about Grayson Abernathy; he was just an ant that could be crushed with a finger. As for Daniel Williams' displeasure over not obtaining the Dragon Emblem fragment, Chris understood it well.

"Tiger, leave me alone for a while; I need to rest."

"Yes!"

After Tiger left, Chris took out a spatial ring given by Victor Yellowbird.

Victor had mentioned that after leaving the House of Rainstorms, it would appear within this ring. Examining the ring closely, Chris found nothing unusual about it.

"Did Victor Yellowbird deceive me?"

Chris wondered but quickly shook off the thought since there was no reason for Victor to lie to him.

Just then, everything went dark before his eyes. When light returned, he found himself in a room-sized space with a nine-story pagoda lying quietly within it.

"So this is the House of Rainstorms? And this is the space inside the ring?"

Chris was astonished by the ancient array masters' ability to create such an incredible item as a spatial ring.

At that moment, new information flooded into his mind-Dragon Techniques' incantations. His strength advanced rapidly from Crescendence early stage to Crescendence mid-stage.

"The legacy of Prince Felix is truly remarkable; it allowed me to leap an entire level!"

Advancing from Crescendence early stage to mid-stage usually required decades of hard training. But receiving Prince Felix's legacy had effortlessly achieved what decades of training couldn't accomplish. Suddenly!

The ground shook violently as if an earthquake struck. In an instant, Chris found himself back in Jefferson Village's ancestral hall.

"Tiger!"

Chris shouted as Tiger rushed in immediately.

"What happened?"

"Boss, it seems like there has been a collapse at the site of the ancient tomb."

"What?"
