Wilbur stared at Skyler for stbefore saying, "You sure have everything planned out." "It's a gold mine. It's going to be a waste if | just leave it here," Skyler protested.

Wilbur fell silent, glancing at Faron and Elsa.

Faron chuckled. "It's honestly a pretty good idea. | can help you out. It should be fine as long as we go through all the legal procedures." With Faron's words, the gold mine was sure to follow through with little issue.

Wilbur gave it sthought and saw the merits of Skyler's plan as well. "Sure. We'll take a look at the gold mine after we're done with lunch and decide." Everyone else nodded, and the four of them drove off after lunch to the gold mine.

There was already a team working on Felix and Wyatt's case anyway.

People like Faron and Elsa hardly needed to get involved.

After over an hour of driving, everyone finally arrived at the gold mine.

Half the hill had been scoured. What had once been a beautiful place teeming with greenery and life was now brown and dilapidated, with ore and mud everywhere.

"Are you f*cking kidding me? This is straight-up exploitation by force. He hardly even considered the environmental issues this would bring!" Faron frowned.

Elsa chimed as well, "If this had gone on, the entire Twelven Town's ecosystem would've been destroyed." "If | was in charge of this, I'd fix the roads first. After that, I'd build a landfill and get the best mining equipment to use the best mining procedures. I'm sure it'd last, and | won't be greedy about it either. Half the profit's going back to Twelven Town," Skyler explained.

Wilbur let out a laugh. "That's a pretty nice plan, dude." "Con! I'm a humanitarian who loves the planet!" Skyler boasted shamelessly.novelbin

Wilbur shook his head with a chuckle. "Alright, then. | guess you're finally doing things the right way." "Thank you, Boss!" Skyler looked overjoyed.

Faron and Elsa did not have anything to say against this either. It was definitely better handing the mine over to Skyler compared to those crooks. If Skyler did a good job, this would be a great success.

"Alright, let's wrap things up here and head back," said Wilbur.

Everyone nodded, and Wilbur took one last glance at the hills. "What a beautiful place this had once been. It's a shit was ruined for so long by people like Felix and Wyatt. | hope the townsfolk finally get a better life after this." "It'll definitely be better than before," said Skyler.

Wilbur nodded. "Let's go back, then. We're going to have to wait until the whole case is shut to take over the mine, anyways." Everyone else nodded and headed back into the car before driving off.

Twelven Town was abuzz with celebration when they returned, with fireworks going off every few minutes and lively music blasting through the air. It was as if the town was celebrating the new year.

The four of them exchanged a knowing smile. Faron and Elsa made sure to go through the case and assign tasks to their subordinates, and everyone left for Seechertown after that.

Just then, in one of the underground locations in Seechertown.

What had once been a puddle of blood was now a raging river, flowing in multiple directions.

There were still countless animals reacting to the smell of it, making a beeline for the nearest manhole and drowning in the river of blood before becoming one with it.

The people walking on the streets who smelled the blood grew restless and volatile, fights breaking out over things as small as an accidental collision.

At the stime, over in a church, Constantine's brows were furrowed as he stared intently at a white glowing ball. On the ball was the image of almost all of Seechertown's streets and buildings.
