Felix was at a loss for words, running to Wyatt and asking shakily, "Sir, what's happening here?" Wyatt was confused as well. He had not requested backup on the report. What were all these people doing here? However, on second thought, maybe his superior was just here on monitor patrol.

That might be a good thing for him. His superior was one of his greatest sources of support for many years, and the main reason Wyatt was allowed to do whatever he wanted around here.

More importantly, all his superior had to do was just show himself, and these wretched townsfolk would scatter like mice. Wilbur and the rest would be arrested, and everything would be over.

All Wyatt had to do then was pay half of the 50 million dollars to the higher-ups above him, and the entire thing would be kept under wraps.

Just then, a young man in uniform emerged from one of the Audis and walked over.

At the stime, a tall, handsfemale Special Forces officer walked up to the young man and greeted him, before the both of them headed over.

Wyatt hurried to greet them. Despite the fact that he did not know these people, only someone like his superior would go on patrol with such a big and impressive-looking team. All Wyatt had to do was say who he was, and everything would go his way.

He bowed deeply, greeting the man and woman with much courtesy.

The onlookers could not help but sigh, with disappointment clear in their eyes.

All of a sudden, someone shouted, "Bunch of pigs, covering for each other!" The rest of the crowd balked, but someone else echoed the schant. "Bunch of pigs, covering for each other!" "Bunch of pigs, covering for each other!" All at once, the crowd began shouting the chant at the top of their lungs.

The young man smiled at Wyatt. "These townsfolk seem pretty pissed, huh?" "They're just causing a nuisance for nothing. You know the people who live in a dump like this are nothing short of horrible," Wyatt hurried to say.

The young man glanced at the female Special Forces officer. "Thoughts?" "Let's look around first," the officer chuckled, and the both of them walked over to Wilbur.

Wyatt followed alongside them. "Sir, Ma'am, I've been doing my best under County Lawson's lead to generate as much revenue out of this town as possible. It's tyou did something about these horrible people." "Is that so?" The female Special Forces officer walked up to Wilbur with a strange smile on her face.

The young man stood next to Wilbur as well, bowing his head to stifle a laugh.

"What's so funny?" Wilbur asked sharply.

Wyatt interjected at once, "Look at the way he just spoke to you! | say to arrest him right now! He's hurt so many people." "Has he?" The officer waved a hand coldly. "Arrest him, then." Wyatt and Felix straightened up at once, and Wyatt shouted, "Arrest them all! Let's see if any of you dare act out after this." "That's right, you bunch of pain in the butt! Take that," said Felix haughtily.

The onlookers exploded into outrage at once, letting out all the indignance and fury they had held back for so many years.

"Down with Wyatt Malcolm!" "Down with Felix Cohen!" "Give us the justice we deserve." "Protect the investors!" The crowd began to shout and chant, letting out all their frustrations.novelbin

Yet Wyatt and Felix looked absolutely disgusted by the crowd. They had armed Special Forces officers working for Lawson County on their side now. These townsfolk had it coming.

However, to their surprise, several officers walked forward and pressed Wyatt to the ground, putting him in handcuffs.
