Jonah saw the officers coming over and immediately called out for his men to stop. He did not want to make his position of power look too obvious, after all.novelbin

Jonah always felt a thrill whenever he saw the pleading expression on other's faces as they begged him for mercy. He wanted nothing more than for Wilbur to be his next victim.

He was going to have the officers arrest him. After that, he would slowly torture him at the detention center.

Jonah held back his anger, the scowl on his face turning into a smirk.

Just then, the captain of the officers glanced at Wilbur before turning to Jonah. "What's the matter here?" "What's your name?" Jonah demanded.

Jonah actually did not know who this team captain was. He had only just called the vice-captain of Special Forces to send a team over, but this team captain probably knew who Jonah was.

"Team Captain of Team Two in Special Forces, Captain Burt Mackel," the team captain said.

Jonah smirked as he nodded. "I suspect this man of illegal hunting, breaking and entering into forbidden territory in the city, and engaging in illegal activities. Please arrest him right now for interrogation." "Are you sure? What proof do you have?" asked Captain Mackel.

Jonah chuckled. "Everyone here witnessed it. They had secret equipment with them that might be weapons and entered the sealed-off territory in Sunend Hill." "Yes, we all saw it." "I saw it with my own two eyes! They had a black suitcase with them and were being all secretive as they snuck around." "Arrest them, | know what | saw." Jonah's men piped up at once in support of him.

Captain Mackel cup to Wilbur, his expression dark. "What's your name?" "Wilbur Penn." "Are these people telling the truth?" "I guess you could say that." "Are you saying you admit to the crimes they're accusing you of?" Wilbur sneered. "Do you even hear yourself? Are you seriously arrestingbased on a few accusations?" "We'll be the judge of whether those accusations are true or not after you cwith us." There was a cold glint in Wilbur's eyes. It seemed like Captain Mackel and Jonah were in cahoots with each other.

That was no surprise. Jonah was probably powerful enough in Rivertune City to manipulate a small team captain of the Special Forces.

It was just their misfortune that they had found the wrong target.

Wilbur's tone was cold. "You have no right to arrest me." "I'm warning you, retaliating against an arrest is a serious crime. I'd think twice about it if | were you," Captain Mackel said. The other officers crowded around Wilbur at once, completely surrounding him.

Wilbur chuckled. "You've really got snerve, arresting someone with no proper proof." "We've got a statement and multiple witnesses. That's more than enough," Captain Mackel said, completely unabashed.

"And what if | refuse to go with you?" replied Wilbur.

"We'll just have to resort to more extrmeasures to arrest you then," Captain Mackel shouted.

Wilbur smirked. "You're a disgrace." "What did you just say?" Burt immediately becangry.
