Despite the wounds, it seemed as if Gobo did not sense any pain at all. Instead, he howled as he continued to charge forward.

The super cannon could not get a fixed aim on Gobo anymore, and Ryder took out his Alloy Dagger and ran toward Gobo.novelbin

Wilbur crossed his arms in front of his chest, watching the battle.

Both parties collided as Gobo swung his fists at Ryder relentlessly, a murderous expression on his face.

Despite being burly and clumsy, Gobo was strong enough for each of his blows to pack a punch. As such, Ryder had no choice but to avoid them.

However, Ryder himself was a skilled enough fighter. His combat skills were a force to be reckoned with too.

The Alloy Dagger slashed and swiped, and Ryder was able to wound Gobo considerably even as he avoided the other's attacks.

Gobo's animalistic instincts seemed to be triggered even more by his newly-inflicted wounds. He howled and roared as he continued to attack Ryder.

The battle between them was exhilarating.

A few minutes later, Ryder took the opportunity to stab Gobo right in the heart.

To any ordinary person, this would have been a fatal blow or done ssevere damage to even a cultivator.

However, Gobo did not seem to react to it at all. Instead, he responded by punching Ryder in the chest.

Blood sprayed from Ryder's mouth as he was sent flying over ten meters backward.

His chest heaved as blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth. It was clear he had taken quite a hit.

Ryder took a few heavy breaths and charged forward once again to fight against Gobo.

There were now more than ten gashes on Gobo's body, with the wound across his chest looking especially bad.

However, he seemed to be oblivious to the pain, not backing up in the slightest as his attacks grew even more vicious. Slowly, it seemed like Ryder was about to lose.

Wilbur frowned but continued to watch.

A few minutes later, Ryder took another blow as he took the opportunity to stab his Alloy dagger right into Gobo's neck.

Ryder spat out a mouthful of blood as he stumbled backward from the attack. Half of Gobo's neck had been sliced off, his head dangling to the side. Even then, he continued to howl as he kept charging at Ryder.

Ryder's face paled. The battle had used up a great deal of his spiritual energy and physical strength. He had also been quite injured from Gobo's blows.

Despite everything, he did not back up in the slightest. Instead, he took a deep breath and charged forward once again.

This time, however, Wilbur dashed in front of him and blocked his path.

"Get srest. I'll take it from here," said Wilbur.

Ryder's chest heaved as he stumbled backward. It was true that he could not fight anymore.

Just then, Gobo let out an enraged roar that somehow sounded deflated. However, he continued to fight and pounced at Wilbur.

Gobo's eyes were bloodshot and all his hair was standing up. He looked like an actual beast then.

A regular human being would probably be scared to death by such a sight.

Gobo was covered in wounds and drenched in blood. There was a hole where his heart was supposed to be, and his head was dangling to the side. However, he was still fighting and was even more vicious than ever.

He stopped a few meters away from Wilbur, sending a heavy punch over.

The speed and force he put behind this punch were enough to crush a rock.

However, Wilbur put his palms together right then and called out, "Quad Thunder." Four thunder balls appeared with chains of lightning linking them together, holding Gobo back.

Gobo howled as he struggled. However, he could not break free no matter how hard he tried.

"He's really resilient, isn't he?" Wilbur said as he paced around Gobo with his hands behind his back.

Ryder was still catching his breath then. "Deacon Penn, didn't you say you didn't have much spiritual energy left?"
