Not long after, they emerged from a thicket of trees. The trail of footprints seemed to lead further up the hill.

Just as Wilbur and Ryder were about to head further up the hill, three men and two women emerged from behind them.

"Are there other people here?" Wilbur was a little surprised as they had already gone quite a distance up the hill.

The five people looked curiously at them as well and walked over.

They were all clad in designer hiking gear and had all kinds of equipment strapped to them. Two of them were even holding hunting rifles.

One of them piped up first. "Don't be afraid, we're just hunting." "I'm pretty sure hunting's illegal, isn't it?" Wilbur asked.

The other four people laughed, and one of the women said, "This is Jonah Jemson. He's in charge of Rivertune City. He can do whatever the hell he wants." "Is that so? Alright, carry on then." Wilbur and Ryder turned to leave.

It was right then that Jonah asked, "What are you two doing here?" "Oh, we're on a hike too," answered Wilbur.

Jonah looked Wilbur and Ryder up and down. "You two don't look the part. Is that suitcase the only thing you guys brought with you?" "It's just a hobby of ours. We're nothing compared to the likes of you," Wilbur said with a smile.

Jonah chuckled. "How about you cwith us, then? We chere all the time. This hike's a piece of cake to us." "That's alright. We'll be fine on our own," Wilbur answered.

One of the men responded, "Hey! It's your honor that Mister Jemson's inviting you to join us." "We're gonna have to pass on that offer," said Wilbur, not knowing what else to reply with.

Just then, Jonah said, "That's enough, you're coming with me. There are beasts around here and you two aren't armed. You'll be in big trouble if you run into them." He then continued to walk up the hill, the other four following behind him.

There was not much Wilbur could do then. Since they were following them up the spath, they had no choice but to follow them.

The three men led the way, clearing a path for everyone as they walked. The two gorgeously stunning women chatted and giggled away as they tailed behind them, complimenting Jonah from tto time.

Jonah seemed to be eating up all their praises as well, dropping a few hunting facts and things to take note of on a hike every now and then as if he were a master at it.

A little over half an hour later, he stopped and said, "There are footprints here that look like they belong to a large beast." The other four hikers quickly gathered at the front to look.

Behind them, Wilbur shook his head. This Jonah guy acted as if he were a professional hunter, but had only noticed the footprints after sthad passed.

One of the women let out a cheer. "Cool! Looks like we're going to get something good today." "Is it going to be dangerous?" The other woman looked a little worried.

Jonah raised the hunting rifle that was grasped in his hand and smiled. "This is a real hunting rifle. It's immensely powerful. Don't worry, it'll kill anything that comes in our way with just one shot." "That's right! You've got nothing to worry about with Mister Jemson around," echoed the other man holding a rifle.

Wilbur frowned. "I don't think you should keep going. It's going to get really dangerous." "Dangerous? What danger could there be?" Jonah's gaze flashed with disdain as he looked at Wilbur.

Wilbur could not tell them the truth about the footprints. As such, he could only say, "Trustwhen | say it's extremely dangerous.

You guys should head back." He then walked ahead with Ryder in tow after saying that.novelbin

However, Jonah flared up in anger at Wilbur's words. "You, stand right there! Who the hell are you to tellwhat to do?"
