Wilbur sighed to himself. If these Weisses really were cultivators, there was not much a mere fighter would be able to do.

Besides, the Weiss clan had been around for ages. They were bound to have forces all over Taya City, or they would not dare to do such a thing.

Wallace's family was rich, but they made all their money from mining. They were nothing in comparison to the Weiss clan.

Just like Matt and Gerard's clan, as well as the Owens clan from back then, there had been no one in Seechertown but Wilbur who was capable of taking them down.

Wilbur had his sights set on the Goldmoon. He was going to try and talk his way into getting it, and if that didn't work, he had no qualms about using extrmethods.

Just like that, they finally arrived in Taya City the next afternoon.

Wallace called his father as soon as they were off the freeway, but his expression only dropped even further after getting off the call. "My dad won't letbe a part of this. He's insisting that | continue my holiday." Wilbur knew at once that this meant Wallace's father had little chance of winning this and was only telling Wallace to stay out of this for his own good.

Wilbur pondered briefly and said, "That's fine. Let's find a place to stay for now, then. The talk's happening at night, isn't it? You can takethere. Talk it out nicely if you can, and I'll take action if they refuse to be civil. | promise you I'll beat them into submission and fix this once and for all for you and your family. How's that?" "Are you sure? My old man says the Weisses know magic or something." Wallace was starting to chicken out.

Cultivators, huh? Wilbur smiled. "I know magic too, and | know sreally powerful ones. | promise you the Lesters will win this." "Really? Don't bullshit me, man. You might embarrass my family." Wallace did not seem to believe this.

Wilbur chuckled. He opened his palm, and the space above it began to hiss and glow with sparks of lightning.

Wallace and Wendy's dropped at the sight.

"I've got even cooler stuff up my sleeves, but | don't think | should show you in the car. Just trust me," Wilbur said.

Wallace grew in confidence upon witnessing Wilbur's powers. "Alright. If you really fix this for my family, I'll give you all the ores we found and call you my bro. How's that?" "Sure," Wilbur chuckled.

Wallace then had his driver find all of them a hotel to rest at.

Wendy ordered food for the three of them, but Wallace did not have much of an appetite. Wendy could not stomach much either.

Wilbur had polished off all the food for the three of them.

He then had Wallace find out exactly where the negotiation at night was happening, then entered his room and began to meditate.

Wallace and Wendy were beside themselves with worry, unable to stop thinking about the matter at hand.

At around seven in the evening, Wallace sprang to his feet and knocked on Wilbur's door.

Wilbur cout of the room. "Let's go." The three of them got into the car and headed for a place called Giftgather Villa.

According to Wallace, the owner of Giftgather Villa used to be one of the top dogs of the underground circle in Taya City. Upon getting older, he had retired but was still in the know about what was happening.novelbin

The man was definitely well-respected in Taya City, and Wallace's father had paid good money for him to cout of retirement and have the negotiation happen in his villa.

Wallace's father had also hired two skilled fighters, Colin and Toshi. They were skilled in martial arts and would be helping the Lesters in taking down the Weiss clan.

Wilbur did not know how strong those fighters were, but wanderers of the world were a far cry from cultivators in a battle.
