Chapter 213

Chloe was startled. “Nothing, just passing by.”

She turned away and hurried to get out.

The man grabbed her by the shoulder, snatching her phone from her.

“What are you doing? Give that back to me!” Chlor shouted.

The man held Chloe down with one amm, using his other to open the video she had just recorded.

Just then, Telford and Jordan walked out.

What are y

“What are you doing here?” Telford was furious when he saw Chloe.

Jordan’s expression turned ashen as well.

Chloe struggled in the man’s grasp. “I was just passing by.”

“My ass

ass you were! Quite a coincidence, isn’t it?” Telford obviously did not believe her for a second.

Just then, the man passed Chloe’s phone to Jordan

Jordan glanced at it and passed it to Telford. “Dude, she was recording us.”

Telford burst into outrage at once. He deleted the video before shouting, “How dare f*cking you stalkme?! Are you tired of living?”

“Mister Gills, let me take care of it. I promise you she won’t say a word about any of this,” Jordan said.

At the same time, the man holding Chloe down grabbed her by the neck and slowly began applyingpressure.

Telford hurried to say, “No, we shouldn’t kill someone for this.”

Jordan sneered, waving a hand at the man to let go.

Chloe sputtered for air, her face beet red.

Telford tossed Chloe’s phone into the fake waterfall near the room. “Say a word about this to anyone, and I’ll have your head.”

“Yes, Mister Gills,” Chloe beggednovelbin

Jordan walked up to Chloe, lifting her by the chin with a finger. “I could crush you like an ant if I wantedto. Don’t you ever forget that. I’ll let you go this time, but don’t let me catch you again.”

“I won’t do it anymore,” Chloe sobbed.

Telford frowned and shouted, “F*ck off right now. Write me a review tomorrow, and hand it in to mepersonally in my office.”

“Okay, Mister Gills.”

Chloe nodded profusely, fleeing the club at once.

Jordan said, “Mister Gills, are you sure you can handle it? I can take care of it for you if you want.”

“That’s fine. She’s got no proof, no one would believe what she said. Besides, I’ve got her wrappedaround my finger,” Telford chuckled.

Jordan laughed at last. “Alright, then. Let’s continue. We’ve got a few new girls here.”

“Oh, of course!” Telford nodded.

The next morning.

Chloe sat at her desk, still frightened from the night before.

Jordan’s words replayed in her mind over and over again. It sounded like he was going to kill her.

She had just graduated not long ago, and an encounter like this scared the wits out of her.

She sighed, then picked up the review she wrote and entered Telford’s office.

There was nothing she could do but swallow her pride if she wanted to keep her job. She could notafford to mess with Telford, let alone Joy Corp. Honestly, all she wanted was for this to be over.

She walked up to Telford’s desk and set her review down.

Telford glanced at it. “Do you know you messed up?”

“I know,” Chloe said, her head bowed.

Telford sneered. “Surrender your journalist permit and start cleaning the station.”
