Chapter 42: She Killed

Chapter 42: She Killed

After finishing their meal, Emanuele went to the wine cabinet and poured a bottle of red wine intotall glasses for himself and Isabella to share. It was rare to see him in such a good mood, and it waseven rarer for the two of them to get along peacefully. Isabella was quite surprised.

Emanuele drank wine heartily, his face adorned with a smile, and his eyes sparkled like flames. Itwas evident that he was extremely excited.

However, Isabella had an ominous feeling because typically, when Emanuele was this excited, itmeant that he had encountered something that thrilled him in a particular way.

Isabella's gaze shifted to Emanuele's clothing, where she noticed a dull liquid stain on his graycuffs. Isabella's heart quivered. Had he killed again? It was only during those moments that hedisplayed such excitement.

"Isabella, I'm so happy," Emanuele said as he sat beside her, putting his arm around her shouldersand allowing her to lean into his embrace. "We've caught a group of Sicilians. I used ancientEastern torture methods on them, flaying and drawing their tendons. You can't imagine, they looklike a pile of mud now, haha, it's so entertaining!"

As Isabella listened to Emanuele's description, a feeling of nausea churned in her stomach. Whatshe had eaten earlier threatened to come back up, but all she managed to do was retch.

"Can't you handle this?" Emanuele, who was now standing by the bathroom door, asked.

Isabella looked at Emanuele, resisting any contact with the devil himself. "Would you like me toshow you what real hell looks like?" Emanuele inquired.

"You're insane!" Isabella screamed. She couldn't bear to be around Emanuele any longer. Initially, she thought he might be a decent person, but in reality, his core was ruthless and brutal, and hewould likely never change.

Crazy? Emanuele cruelly smiled. He had always known that Isabella was like an innocent angel, kind, pure, and a doctor who saved lives. In contrast, he had grown up on the edge of life anddeath, exposed to various forms of cruelty, kidnapped, nearly killed, and even ordered by his fatherto murder the servant who had been with him since childhood.

All of this was done to teach him how to be ruthless, how to use any means necessary for his owngain, even if it meant harming his own family.

So when he found out that his father's girlfriend was pregnant, he didn't hesitate to cause a caraccident that killed her.

He knew his father was aware of it all along, but they never discussed it. And now, looking at thepure and innocent Isabella, he thought, why should her world remain so straightforward? Since shehad become the princess of the mafia, there were things she needed to know.

"Isabella, come with me. I'll show you my world," Emanuele said, pulling her along.

Isabella struggled desperately. "Emanuele, please, let me go. I'm begging you. Spare me, please!"

The thought of what she might see next was suffocating, making it impossible to breathe. Soon,Emanuele had led Isabella to a dungeon.

Despite her resistance, Emanuele forcibly dragged her inside. The dungeon was surrounded byheavily armed guards. They passed through the soldiers and entered the deeper parts of thedungeon.

The dimly lit space was filled with scurrying rats, and the cells held many prisoners. In the corner,Isabella noticed a bloody mass, like a massive clot of blood.

"What is this?" Isabella's heart clenched with an ominous premonition.

At that moment, Phillip approached and pointed to the massive bloody lump in the corner. "Boss,he's already dead. Should we dispose of him?"

Dead? So, this was a person? Isabella's throat constricted, and she struggled for breath. Her visiondarkened in waves.

"Yeah, toss it out for the dogs," Emanuele said casually.

Phillip called over two people from the surroundings and bagged the grotesque remains.

Isabella didn't want to continue watching, but at that moment, her eyes seemed paralyzed, lockedonto the inhuman figure. She watched as Phillip and the others picked him up, placing him into alarge black plastic bag. As they moved him, Isabella saw the person's head, face, body-all exposedwithout skin, blood-red and still dripping, creating a chilling sight.

Isabella was on the brink of being scared to death. "How's this? Isn't this more realistic than thoseanatomical models you've seen at school?" Emanuele suddenly leaned in close to Isabella's ear, speaking softly. "I could be your teacher; I understand human anatomy better than your professors.I've conducted experiments on real people. If you want, these prisoners here can be subjects foryour experiments."novelbin

"Damn it, God will surely send you to hell!" Isabella turned to Emanuele, losing her ladylikecomposure as she cursed him.

Even Satan would be horrified if he witnessed this scene. Isabella cursed the devil and wished hima place in hell.

Emanuele, far from being upset by her curse, burst into laughter. In his eyes, Isabella was as naiveas a child. He embraced her, feeling the softness of her body, and the subtle fragrance of flowersand fruit that clung to her, in stark contrast to the smell of blood in the dungeon.

"Isabella, I won't be going to hell, and even if I do, I'll drag you down with me," Emanuele said. Afterthat, he brought her to another area where a person was suspended and still appeared to be alive.

Emanuele drew a handgun from behind and said to Isabella, "Even though you bravely shot theenemy last time, your accuracy isn't good enough. You have to remember, you didn't deliver aheadshot; it might be you who ends up dead."

He stood behind Isabella, held her hand, and forced it to hold the gun. "No... please!" Isabella criedout, her body ice-cold, eyes quivering, her blood running cold, as if she might die at any moment. Itwas too horrifying. Was Emanuele making her kill?

No matter how Isabella struggled, it was futile. She was forced to hold the gun, forced to pull thetrigger, and she watched, with wide-open eyes, as the bullet passed through the person's head rightin front of her, splattering blood.

"Ah!" Isabella screamed, and her tears fell in large drops. She trembled uncontrollably, her skincovered in goosebumps, gasping for breath. She had killed someone. She had killed!

"Hahaha!" Emanuele burst into laughter. He held Isabella tightly, kissed her passionately, and lickedaway her tears. "Isabella, good girl, you did great!" he praised. "From now on, you and I are thesame kind of people. You called me a devil, so you are one too."

He held Isabella tightly, kissed her, and his hands roamed her body, as if he wanted to merge herinto his very essence.
