Chapter 93 Rescue Eudora From the Fire 3
Corey relayed everything he knew to Colbert.
Upon hearing Corey's words, Colbert instantly got nervous. He found it slightly harder to breathe, a
sensation intermingled with an odd feeling that left him quite unsettled.
"Get the firefighters now!"
"Understood."
After hanging up the phone, Colbert stepped on the gas pedal hard. His car roared and sped down the
road like a bolt of lightning, overtaking other vehicles left and right, earning a trail of insults from the
other drivers.
But Colbert couldn't care less.
Ten minutes later, he finally arrived at the Gardenview Apartment.
Despite it being late at night, when everyone should be sleeping, quite a number of people had
gathered in the Gardenview Apartment complex.
Residents of Unit 2, where Eudora lived, had been startled awake. Many people rushed downstairs,
some shouting, "It's on fire! It's on fire! Somebody save them!"
"Call 911 quickly!"
"I've already done that, but the people are on the 8th floor, and the rescue will be difficult."

The complex's security team was fully mobilized, activating the fire alarm and rushing into Unit 2 to
alert residents.
But the fire truck was yet to arrive.
Colbert stood on the first floor, staring at the roaring fire on the 8th floor, his heart squeezed tight with
dread.
Without wasting a moment, he charged into Unit 2.
However, a security guard on the first floor stopped him. "Sir, you can't go up, there's a fire upstairs."
Colbert didn't argue with the guard and shoved him aside, making his way up the stairs.
Because of the fire, the elevators had been shut down, and the fire exits were clogged with Unit 2
residents rushing downstairs, which made Colbert's climb challenging.
"Hurry up and escape!"
"The fire is too intense, the 8th floor is seriously engulfed."
"It's so scary, run, run!"
"Mom, I'm scared..."

The appearance of a huge fire scared everyone. People were either screaming or crying, rushing
downstairs.
Against the fleeing crowd, Colbert managed to reach the 8th floor in three minutes.
However, on the 8th floor, flames had already burst out of the front door of Eudora's apartment, licking
up along the edges of the door.
Chasel stood at the entrance, repeatedly kicking the door. But no matter how many times he kicked, it
didn't budge.
Since he couldn't move the handle and the door was incredibly hot, Chasel had been calling and
banging for a long time without receiving any response. He had called the fire department and now all
he could do was stand there, trying to kick the door down.
Upon seeing Colbert, Chasel took off his jacket, walked straight up to him and without a word, swung a
hard punch at Colbert.
"Damn! If anything happens to Eudora, I swear, you're done!"
