Chapter 766

Chapter 766 Investigating the Thing

Eudora guessed what had happened and could only say, "I'll follow your advice. Please send me back

to my apartment."

She told Derek the address of the apartment. Arriving at her apartment, she refused the company of

Derek and Wendy and thanked them. She said she was a little tired and wanted to go home and sleep.

Wendy and Derek waved to her and drove away.

Eudora returned home and washed up. She stood in front of the vanity mirror and reapplied her

makeup. Then she put on an ordinary jumpsuit and a cap.

Looking in the mirror, she wore black-rimmed glasses and a mustache. She was just like a man, andnovelbin

nobody would notice her.

She packed everything up. Eudora fully charged her dead phone and turned it on.

She sat on the sofa, turned on her phone, and saw countless messages pouring in. The phone buzzed

and vibrated non-stop.

But Eudora ignored those messages and clicked on the news instead.

They were much news about the Meetlove Company, such as "Meetlove Company was smashed due

to yesterday's accident," "Staff members were injured in Meetlove Company because of the smash,"

and "The Steele family expressed to not intervene in the accident of Meetlove Company."

Flipping through a few messages casually, Eudora was worried, and her brows frowned deeper.

At that time, Derek refused to let her return to the Meetlove Company. She only thought reporters were

blocking the door.

But now it seemed the thing was more serious than she imagined.

At this time, the phone vibrated again.

Looking down, she saw the caller was her assistant, Sandra.

She answered the phone and asked, "Sandra, how is the company now?"

"Oh, Eudora, you finally answered my phone. Something terrible happened. Mae was injured in a mess

in the morning. Her amniotic fluid broke, and she was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, her baby was

born safely. Otherwise, the consequences would be disastrous."

Mae was a wedding planner temporarily hired. She was pregnant and was about to give birth, but she

happened to face such a thing.

Eudora had mixed feelings and was indescribably depressed.

She couldn't help regretting that she should have let Kevin come to Kenison City earlier.

If her teacher were in Meetlove Company, ordinary people would not be able to enter it, and such a

thing couldn't happen.

Eudora asked, "Are there any other injuries?"

"Yes, another three people were all injured. From yesterday afternoon to this morning, all the previous

customers canceled their orders and asked us for compensation."

On the other end of the phone, Sandra briefly told Eudora about the company's affairs.

Eudora raised her hand and rubbed her straight temples. Her pressure doubled.

Eudora said, "Let these colleagues get out of there first. Their safety is the priority. Then you should call

the police."

"I called. But only several policemen came, and they couldn't control the mess."

Sandra said angrily.
