Chapter 705

Chapter 705 Took the Shortcut

With his right hand resting on the steering wheel, Colbert tapped on it with his fingers repeatedly and

said, "This is an order from Grandma. You should ask Grandma about it, not me."

"You don't have to send me off at all. Don't worry; I will keep the secret and not tell Grandma."

Eudora didn't want Colbert to go back to her hometown with her for fear there would be more

accidents.

"You are good at deceiving people anyway. If Grandma knows that you are a recidivist, what do you

think she will do?"

Colbert slowly looked away. He started the car and set off again.

Eudora was quite upset because of being scolded as a recidivist, but she didn't bother to continue

arguing with Colbert. She took off the scarf, put it on her body, and took a nap with her eyes closed.

Colbert knew that Eudora's insomnia hadn't been cured yet, so he didn't want to disturb her rest. He

turned the temperature of the air conditioner to the highest and continued driving.

Ever since Cory E-sports was established, Eudora hadn't had a good rest for a long time. Leaning on

the car seat, she fell asleep after a while.

Colbert was worried that she would not sleep well, so he carefully adjusted the inclination of the seat

for her, making sure that she could sleep comfortably in a half-lying position.

Fortunately, this kind of seat was lowered slowly, not lowering rapidly. Therefore, Eudora wasn't woken

up.

When Eudora woke up, it was already two hours later.

Colbert took a shortcut to Eudora's hometown, so the distance was less than an hour left.

"Where are we?"

Eudora asked in a daze.

"Vanguard City," Colbert said.

"It's so fast." Eudora rubbed her eyes, sat up, and eased her dizzy head, only to realize that her seat

had been adjusted to a 45-degree tilt at some point.

No wonder she slept for so long.novelbin

Eudora frowned a little and couldn't figure out what Colbert wanted to do for a moment.

Sometimes, he treated her well, but sometimes not, as if he was insane.

"Don't look at me so gratefully. I was just entrusted by someone to do this." Eudora thought the

"someone" in Colbert's mouth was Belinda.

She rested on the seat for a while and then called Mildred with her mobile phone. "Mom, where are you

now?"

"We're at Galaxy Hospital."

"The inpatient department?"

"Yeah. Room 2109 on the 21st floor of the inpatient department."

"Okay. I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, Eudora said to Colbert, "Please take me to Galaxy Hospital."

When Mildred called Eudora before, she said that they were in the hospital in the town, but now they

were transferred to the hospital in the city. In this case, the distance was much closer.
