Chapter 620

Chapter 620 Colbert Walked Away

Colbert started the car and drove forward slowly, keeping his gaze ahead without speaking along the

way.

Noticing Colbert's unusual mood, Eudora remained silent as well, quietly playing with her phone to

pass the time.

After about half an hour, the car arrived at Hitlin Hotel.

The event took place in the lobby on the second floor of Hitlin Hotel.

Although it was a charity event, it was organized by the local government of Kenison City as a special

charity event, essentially a combination of a cocktail party and an auction.

The philanthropists brought out their antique collections for auction, and all the proceeds were used for

charitable activities.

The attendees of the charity event were all high-society individuals from Kenison City, with luxury cars

lined up outside the hotel. Everyone was dressed in designer suits and formal dresses, making it

resemble a fashion show.

Colbert got out of the car and looked at Eudora as she approached. He raised his wrist slightly,

signaling her with a glance.

"This... Doesn't seem appropriate."

Eudora understood that Colbert wanted her to hold onto his wrist. Despite being his god-sister and

companion, she strongly resisted the idea.

"You're Grandma's god-granddaughter, and also..."

"Eudora?"

Colbert was halfway through his sentence when he suddenly heard someone behind him calling out

affectionately.

Both of them turned around and saw Wendy, who wore a black lace pleated skirt, and walked toward

them in high heels.

Perhaps due to their previous candid conversation at the restaurant, their relationship had naturally

become closer.

"Wendy, you're here too?"

Eudora suddenly felt relieved by Wendy's presence at this moment. She wished to stick close to her.

With this in mind, she came up with a plan. "Are you here alone for such an occasion? No male

companion?"

"Mr. Steele is here too."

Wendy smiled slightly at Colbert, greeted him, and then looked at Eudora, shrugging her shoulders. "I

actually wanted a male companion. Isn't that obvious?"

"Yes, of course!"

Eudora raised an eyebrow and directly pushed Wendy toward Colbert. Then she innocently smiled at

Colbert and said, "Chasel, let me introduce you to a female companion."

Colbert heard Eudora's words, and his face instantly turned cold. He looked at her with a deep gaze

and said, "No need!"

With that, he flung a suit jacket he had on his wrist directly at Eudora, and it happened to cover her

forehead.

Colbert walked away angrily, taking quick strides.

Eudora took off the jacket from her forehead. She knew it was the jacket Colbert had prepared for her.

The weather was chilly in late autumn. She was wearing a dress, and without the jacket, she would be

shivering from the cold.

Just a month ago, the weather was still around eighty degrees Fahrenheit daily. Now the temperature

had dropped to the fifties, making her feel very uncomfortable.

"Eudora, what are you doing? Mr. Steele seems angry." Wendy nudged Eudora's elbow, reminding her.

Eudora simply draped the suit jacket over her shoulders, adopting an indifferent posture. "I'm not hisnovelbin

mother. Can I control his mood?"
