"Mom, you're not feeling well, so please rest more. I'll go and look for Colbert and Eudora again," Derek
said.
Seeing Belinda's worried expression, Derek reassured her, "No matter what, Colbert has experienced
battles before. He's skilled and courageous. Nothing will happen to him."
"I hope so."
Belinda sighed and waved her hand, signaling Derek to go.
Derek nodded and left the living room.
In the yard of Steele Mansion, he led a group of people, searching around the vast estate. They kept
looking until they reached the bamboo forest in the backyard. Derek's cold gaze glanced at the large
stone that Eudora had worked on, then he instructed everyone, "Search carefully. See if there are any
clues. Dennis, lead a few people and search in the bamboo forest."
"Okay, Mr. Derek Steele."
The servants received their orders and beckoned to a few others, entering the bamboo forest and
circling inside.
Even when Dennis stepped on the spot where Eudora and Colbert had fallen, he didn't notice anything
unusual.
The search for Eudora and Colbert continued tirelessly as the night grew late.
Corey also contacted Jervis, who was the captain of the detective squad. Being a detective, he

Inside the secret room, Colbert and Eudora marked their way while searching for the right path.
Eudora, tired from walking, said, "Let's take a break. We won't find an exit anytime soon, so there's no
rush."
"Let's rest in this room."
Colbert pointed to a room diagonally across, its wooden door already decayed.
He kicked the door open and led Eudora inside.
They lit a candle and illuminated the night lamp on the wall, making the room exceptionally bright.
"This must be a study. There are so many books on the shelves. I wonder if there are any ancient
martial arts secrets or treasure maps. If so, I could become rich."
Eudora joked, looking around casually. She walked up to the bookshelf and touched the well-preserved
wood. "Could it be made of something vintage? Otherwise, how could it remain intact after so many
years?"
As they searched for an exit, the two discovered many rooms along the way.
There was a spacious secret hall with several statues of mythical beasts and sculptures found inside.
There were also bedrooms, a pharmaceutical chamber, and so on.
Eudora was about to reach out and randomly grab a book to read when her gaze caught sight of a thick
layer of dust on top of a purple box.
"What's this?"
Muttering to herself, she opened the box.
