An idea popped into Chasel's mind, sending a chill down his spine.
He immediately rushed out of the apartment and called to find out which hospital had admitted Eudora
yesterday.
Ten minutes later, he learned that she was at Rescun Hospital.
Chasel sped all the way to Rescun Hospital, and when he entered Eudora's ward, he found her asleep
in bed.
Seeing that Eudora was still alive, he finally relaxed.
He leaned on the bedside table, letting out a long sigh of relief as his heartbeat gradually steadied, but
he was still shaken by Eudora's actions.
He didn't disturb Eudora's sleep but inquired about her condition with her attending physician.
Then he was told that Eudora was pregnant and had suffered a miscarriage and heavy bleeding due to
an overdose of misoprostol yesterday!
By the time she arrived, she was already in critical condition.
"Who brought her in?"
Chasel asked the doctor.
"Who are you? Why are you asking so many questions?" the doctor replied somewhat irritably.
"I'm... her boyfriend."
"Boyfriend? Then who was the man yesterday?" the doctor said while pulling out the bill signed in the
operating room yesterday.
"This one."
The handwriting was so sloppy that the doctor couldn't make out whose name it was, so he handed it
directly to Chasel.
Chasel glanced at the name and frowned. "It's him?"

Chasel didn't know.
Returning to the ward, he sat in the chair and watched Eudora sleeping, losting in thought.
After a while, Eudora woke up and saw Chasel sitting helplessly by her bedside.
"Why are you here?"
Eudora was somewhat surprised.
How did Chasel know she was here?
"I... I'm sorry, I got drunk yesterday."
Chasel was relieved that Eudora was fine. Otherwise, he would never forgave himself.
"Did my actions cause you to be scolded by your father yesterday? Is that why you were upset?"
As someone involved in the incident at Hitlin Hotel, Eudora was well aware of what had happened.
Although Chasel often drank at clubs since she met him, he usually didn't get blackout drunk.

Chasel shrugged and said helplessly, "It's not your fault. I just suddenly felt like drinking. But how did
you end up in the emergency room?"
As he asked, he picked up an apple from a fruit basket and started peeling it for her.
He had bought the fruit while she was sleeping.
This was the first time Chasel had peeled fruit for someone else.
